  1. Helped by Sticky withdrawing from the meeting in heat 8 and his replacement Ash Morris winning the rerun
  2. Entertaining meeting until the track dried out half way through... Good performances from all the side. Kasper was great value... Good to see Dan grabbing a heat win and some decent points... Redcar were rubbish Not good news, but on his average we'll be spoiled for guests.. Bjerre withdrew after his third ride due to injury, but takes his place in the Wolves side tonight. What a pi$$ take!
  3. Gotta agree with the way certain things are run at Rye Dave. Many tracks have people walking around selling draw tickets during the early part of the meetings. The draw used to take place on the centre green during the interval, adds to the drama. I'm sure they'd sell more tickets that way. Notice how work on the stadium seems to have come to a halt over the last couple of months. No sign of the promised seating on the back straight and very little other stadium improvements evident. I'm beginning to wonder too. Give the pub a miss
  4. Have you ever run a business? Why would they travel all the way from Suffolk just to sell "a few bits" to the small number who bother to turn up for NL meetings? Especially when there's a PL meeting a couple of days later. A boycott will only turn them away for good
  5. The only advantage over the other recent proposals, Bristol, Norwich, Milton Keynes, is that there is already a stadium ready to be used.
  6. We were under the refs box and heard 66 seconds pretty clearly. There was some banter with the ref after that. Even she was laughing
  7. I remember Luke Bowen beating Chris Holder at Hoddesdon in a time of 55 seconds (supposedly). He's never been close since
  8. This is why I never bother with heat times. Was nowhere near 66 seconds and definitely not close to 56. Does anyone really believe Ashley Morris broke the Plymouth track record a couple of weeks ago?
  9. I usually mess the programme up when I'm also updating. My phone was knackered for Tweeting, so I could concentrate fully
  10. Rye House website scores tally with mine if that helps
  11. My programme says Mellgren; Aspegren; Wethers; Crang
  12. Home leg of Rockets v Berwick in the KOC confirmed for Sunday 12th July, 5pm start
  13. Wasn't it poor attendances that forced them to quit speedway? I remember being there for a PL meeting in October (may have possibly been their final PL season). There couldn't have been more than 150 people in attendance. Speedway crowds are down all over the place. While I'm genuinely pleased to see the Islanders return, but I'm not overly convinced it'll work as an PL project, unless someone with deep pockets is bankrolling it
  14. 1. It's a sport 2. It's entertainment 3. Chance for riders to earn some £ 4. ALL fixtures must be completed by 31st October
  15. A slick track should suit Redcar nicely as that's what they're used to at the STMP
  16. Very weak from the referee if reports are correct. Let's see if the BSPA have the balls to make a decision
  17. You reckon that time was legit? Plymouth basically handed Ipswich the win by tracking only one reserve
  18. Well, that's a surprise...cue the meltdown at Ipswich... Well done Berwick... B4e gutted we didn't go
  19. Doubt it very much Gave up my Friday afternoon overtime for it, then B4e said she doesn't want to go!! I'll be there for the next round though
  20. Who knows what state British speedway will be in next year
  21. Tend to agree with Baldy and B4e..Ipswich will romp this... Berwick are nowhere near as good as Sheffield
