Gotta agree with the way certain things are run at Rye Dave. Many tracks have people walking around selling draw tickets during the early part of the meetings. The draw used to take place on the centre green during the interval, adds to the drama. I'm sure they'd sell more tickets that way.
Notice how work on the stadium seems to have come to a halt over the last couple of months. No sign of the promised seating on the back straight and very little other stadium improvements evident.
I'm beginning to wonder too.
Give the pub a miss
Have you ever run a business? Why would they travel all the way from Suffolk just to sell "a few bits" to the small number who bother to turn up for NL meetings? Especially when there's a PL meeting a couple of days later.
A boycott will only turn them away for good
This is why I never bother with heat times. Was nowhere near 66 seconds and definitely not close to 56.
Does anyone really believe Ashley Morris broke the Plymouth track record a couple of weeks ago?
Wasn't it poor attendances that forced them to quit speedway?
I remember being there for a PL meeting in October (may have possibly been their final PL season). There couldn't have been more than 150 people in attendance.
Speedway crowds are down all over the place.
While I'm genuinely pleased to see the Islanders return, but I'm not overly convinced it'll work as an PL project, unless someone with deep pockets is bankrolling it
Nikolaj definitely has a bit of Linus about him, if anything he's progressed a little more at the same stage... Will be a difficult decision next year with two 8+ average riders, that is if the Dane isn't sold off
