  1. Instant Twitter Updates available for both matches https://twitter.com/Shadders5 or http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/ (thread not set up yet)
  2. Blimey, you've been away a long time!... Haven't seen Splatty at Rye for a good 5 or 6 years. The Tempstand Crew have long departed, only a small handfull still attend. My preferred viewing place these days is amongst the rowdies on the Startline Terrace with Bolly, Startline Sid & Hooversquash. If you see me come and say hello... You'll know me as I'll be the one head down texting the Twitter updates between heats. Oooh, I forgot about him
  3. Bandits will struggle with two NL guests in place of Paul & Kozza, but they managed ok without ANY reserves in last years Bandits v Rockets match!
  4. Nothing on Jason Garritys' Facebook since last Friday, so I assume he's not had any practice and will not be in the Rockets line up on Saturday, unless anyone knows different? What is it about Scunny riders stealing other riders nicknames? ...It's "Flyin" Ryan Fisher...
  5. My understanding is that it doesn't apply to number one's, home or away.
  6. Technically Tommy Allen is "the" Tommy Gun. Thomas Jorgensen is "a" Tommy Gun
  7. I'd have thought someone so closely associated with the Ben Fund wouldn't have made a joke out of a rider who's been out injured for most of this year. Shame on you 😉
  8. Sorry, there's only one Tommy Gun. You'll have to think of another name. May I suggest Tommy the Gating Tart?
  9. If Somerset have sacked Stefan it'll be someone else's gain. I hope Mr Sampford & Mr Silver have taken note.
  10. Similar thing happened to Jason Lyons in heat one when guesting for the Rockets at Berwick in 2009
  11. I never know what to expect with this Rockets side Oliver Greenwood guests for Rye today
  12. Looking at the Bandits side at Leicester last night I couldn't see how they can take anything away from Rye House today. You will get good value out of Bellego & Kozza Smith and perhaps Aspegren if he's in the mood. Alden is well down on form and Barrett is awful. Paul Starke looked good, but he's unavailable today. If the Rockets don't hit 55 points I'll be surprised. Bandits promotion seem to think that Jason Garrity is riding today!
  13. Liam Carr at 7 for Berwick. Paul Starke is riding for Dudley I should imagine normal admission prices will apply as the 125cc lads won't be expecting to be paid
  14. That's what I was told by a very good source. If that's the case then teams will have a choice of a strong top end with a very long tail, or strength in depth
  15. Neither of us will be in the play offs, so I shouldn't think that'll matter much
  16. Rockets next free Saturday is 28th September, but we may have a KOC Final to fit in should we progress past Redcar. Hopefully not another double header on 7th or 14th September
  17. A lot depends on which Rockets side turn up. The one that won at Leicester, or the one that turned over and had their belly rubbed at Edinburgh. I'd be satisfied with a point, but I doubt we'll manage that with riders out of form or carrying injuries. Minds seem set on the KOC now that the play offs are out of reach
  18. So they're taking advice from a lad who's obviously desperate to ride, despite the fact he's still on crutches 14 weeks after breaking his leg? Now I'm no doctor, but that's pretty desperate. I can't believe there wasn't a plan B put in place before Jasons spin at Sheffield, not that it would've made any difference to the final outcome tonight
  19. I'm not taking any comfort from another sides capitulation. I'm more concerned at how poor we were tonight. Not having been there it would be wrong of me to pick on individual performances. I'm just going by the home sides updates. I have no idea who this reserve guest was, but I do know he wasn't first choice, not by a long way. Looks like he was very much a last minute call up after various riders were unavailable due to work commitments mainly. Benji Compton was one of them. I presume now that lessons have been learned and that this Jason Garrity nonsense is put to bed until he's fit to ride, when it's clearly obvious to anyone but a complete moron that he's not. Let's hope it was just a bad day at the office and the team can rally against weaker opposition tomorrow.
