Got to agree with you there Screm.
Will support any Brit in the GP,S but overall its about seeing the Worlds best riders competing for the GP title not putting in a British rider to satisfy who, SCB/BSPA, the British public, BSI/IMG?
Hopefully Richard and Rene will be back on Friday, cannot see Worky getting any points at Edinburgh but we might just get an aggergate win against Newcastle if all the lads are fighting fit.
Bad year all round injuries , rain offs, threat of closure hanging over Workington Speedway.......still have had some exciting racing at Derwent Park in 2012 on a decent track....oh and some great riders.
We have won the Pairs and are still technically in two competitions, so hopeffully we can still grab a trophy.
Speedway in 2013 at Workington....i certainly hope so.
Well done to Monarchs for keeping it close at DP, cannot see the Comets getting any points at Edinburgh next Friday but stranger things have happened.............and hopefully its not rain affected.
Scunny and Somerset in the final then.
Cookie is a talented rider but to park the bike after the heat in question was just silly , yes the crowd got on his back and he did get revenge in heat 15 , still got the crowd going.
A busy night at Derwent Park with two matches to fit in due to the awful weather this year, with a 18:30hrs start ttime lets hope there are no significant delays.
Adult prices £25.00.
Adam Roynon hopes to be back racing this weekend, good luck Adam, stay safe lads!!
Wow have not seen that footage of the Gary Stead meeting, all the best for the future Lee.
Lee said in the SS that he was in debt to the sum of £5k and together with the injuries could not carry on, also said someting needed to be done to reduce the costs in Speedway as a lot of tracks were suffering financially.
Agree Phil, all credible and valid points but there many refs i,m willing to bet would see it differently and as long as there is respect for other peoples point of view then all is well.
Probably a major failing of posters on here (me included) to consider other peoples thoughts and opinions.....och well.
Not a bad meet but a bit drawn out on a cold night, not helped by numerous restarts and falls, Gary Irvings fall looked quite nasty but he was lucky to get up and appeared to suffer no ill effects.
The scores were fairly close up until the closing few heats so could have gone either way, luckily Lawson and Bach got a 5-1 in heat 15 to secure all the points.....Bach's pass on Masters was superb.
