  1. I think. Connor will be at Glasgow next year but I would be very happy to see him back in Comets colours next season .
  2. I thought Oxford might have been asked to move up a division with the Premiership being short of teams , maybe Birmingham will move up but still leaves them short of at least one team I would have thought.
  3. I had mixed feelings when the move to the championship was announced yesterday , I have enjoyed this year with these young lads we have had in our team and think they may be lost to the sport If there is no Third League of some description. i must admit I did not have any interest in the “ third division” when Workington were in the championship back in 2018 but there seems to be a real camaraderie with the boys this season that does not always exist with some teams . I hope many of this years team can be in next years line up , this would mean a weaker championship but maybe that is a good thing. One thing I do know Is the promotion at Northside have put a lot of work in to making this season a success , so well done to Andrew Bain , Steve Lawson and the many people behind the scenes who work tirelessly every week.
  4. Cash only Admission Prices: Adults: £15 Children: £2 Family: £32 (2 Adults + 3 Children)
  5. If it’s the same person I think it was you I stood with on occasion on the second bend at Derwent Park.
  6. Tough on the likes of Magic, Dudek and Fricke but its good to see some new faces in the competition.
  7. Dilemma , most riders have got used to riding in at least two Leagues in the UK and other Leagues across Europe to make Speedway pay, even the riders who are riding solely in the UK are used to riding in two Leagues plus getting guest payments, some have jobs but will work around Speedway when not riding.
  8. Can’t see that score being enough for Glasgow but hope they can do it .
  9. At that this moment looking like two leagues only , bad news for Workington and a few others with so many pulling out for different reasons but not enough teams to make the NDL work. Possibly Birmingham and Oxford moving up to make that League remotely viable.
  10. Some good racing this afternoon, Connor Bailey was superb , heat 15 was fantastic , agree Senna could be a good addition next year if the League set up is similar next year. Thanks to all the lads who put on the Comets bib this season , a great comeback year.
  11. Latest forecast says rain stopping around 2pm but who who knows ?
  12. Nice touch by some Ipswich fans giving Lambert the Hand sign at the start of the meeting.
  13. A strong top two is required. Tai Woffinden Robert Lambert.
  14. Met office forecast for tomorrow in Workington is dry with a brief shower at 11:00 am , I suppose it depends on what damage has been done in the past few days.
  15. Cannot really argue about Robert Lambert coming in to replace riders , last year and this when the whole League is run with guests all season.
  16. Not quite my words , just saying a lot of riders could not get on with the conditions while some could. Thanks any way.
  17. Okay the track was very rough but just because some riders handled it better than others is no excuse for a bad track, I accept that the weather has had a lot to do with track conditions but for a grand final leg it does not sit well. I agree with much of what Robert Lambert said in his interview but maybe he should have been a bit more diplomatic. Also some of the early referees decisions were a bit dodgy , it’s all in Ipswich hands now to keep it close at Sheffield .
