Agree not many tourists are going to travel from Keswick Windermere etc unless they are Speedway fans on holiday in the Lake District.Poole or Belle Vue on the other hand might attract some passing punters.

Some good news with the abolition of the TR and fixed race nights for the Premier League , which should help matters, I still think much more could have been done however ie with prompt start times and meeting running shedules. Its good news that the Workington Comets are still in business but I cannot see where more fans are going to come from, running with attendances between 300-550 people cannot be viable again next year.

Because Glasgow and Scunthorpe applied to, nothing against Worky promotion but there was no Promoters at the AGM from Workington due to family reasons.

None of the Workington promoters attended due to family commitments

Workington applied to run on Fridays but we’re turned down because Glasgow and Scunthorpe had applied to run on Fridays
