  1. Leaving the prep a bit late... ref is supervising, people walking around with buckets picking stuff up... that doesn't seem normal. Incoming shambles? 🤔
  2. British Speedway does not need our youngsters to gain experience from the best in the world, especially at Will Cairns level. We have a gold medal winning GB Team, that rarely rides in the UK, we have a recent world number 2, and a real contender this year for the title itself before Dan Bewley's accident? and a fairly recent 3 x World Champion, yet the sport has continued to sink lower and lower in this country. We need our riders to be turning up and riding for their contracted teams before chasing personal glory. Assuming you're a Pirate, I don't know why you're so happy to see your club, and cup holders, crash out of the competition thanks to no shows from some of the team members 🤷‍♂️
  3. Just edit your original post and it allows you to edit the title 👍
  4. Of course! So he didn't miss a meeting over here because of it? If he wants to waste his time travelling over to Poland for no rides that's his lookout I suppose 👍🏻
  5. 100% yes 👍 SGP 2 no rounds held in the UK, not even televised... and he stands little chance of winning it, could easily have won the KO Cup had the Part Time Pirates been full time committed. Why as a so called Dorset Pirate would you care what he does individually?
  6. non appearing reserve heat leader not showing all completely normal and totally acceptable 😂
  7. Signing for a UK club that runs on Wednesdays and signing for a club in Denmark is clearly a massive conflict in fixtures, but when you can just run with a facility... who cares 🤷‍♂️
  8. Shows how entrenched the club vs country (or any other fixture) mind set has become within the sport in the UK that the commentator has been going on about Will Cairns in the SGP2 all night and Havvy was singing his praises... all totally normal and accepted, not even a thought as to why he's not riding for his club that provide him with a full league, cup and BSN Series calendar... should he wish to ride in them 🤷‍♂️
  9. At least I think we can all agree that the Part Time Pirates defeat is completely down to Chris Harris and Simon Lambert and in no way attributable to contracted riders who decided not to bother riding for them👍🏻
  10. The Bandits look well up for this tonight... not so much the Part Time Pirates, good of some of them to turn up though I suppose 🤔 😁
  11. I'm honestly not looking for an argument @1 valve I'm really not, but what you've posted is just wrong, football clubs often promote from within due to an injury crisis, even from their youth academy, admittedly never because their rider has decided to skip a match to not play elsewhere, but it happens, also in cricket. Leicester have an NDL team to promote from. I wouldn't allow any guest or R/R facility for such absences.
  12. Maybe... or maybe Dan should grow a pair and not put up with this kind of BS from Lodz, either way it needs to stop. If he's not getting selected to ride, maybe he's not actually ready for Poland yet and should concentrate on achieving better results consistently elsewhere, then the Polish clubs will be swarming for him.
  13. All I know is it's a bit of a 5hitshow, it's bad enough that these riders go missing, for them not to even rode just adds insult to injury! This so called agreement obviously needs looking at so our clubs know when and when not to arrange clashing fixtures, especially with so many blank dates in our fixture list there's really no excuse for this kind of thing to be happening
  14. To be honest I don't give a toss who is at fault. You can blame Morris, you can blame the UK clubs for riding knowing their talent won't be there, you can blame the rider for signing a contract that hasn't got the right clauses in it... All I know is, that as a paying customer of British Speedway, I'm sick of it, it's literally almost every match effected by one thing or another and... I'm as mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore 😂 I'll be picking and choosing my matches in future when riders decide they don't want to ride for their team. Whoever has advised Dan Thompson to sign for Lodz on those terms has done him no favours. If the rider is good enough they'll always negotiate from a position of strength and he'll be able to name his terms. That's just business.
  15. Personally I think the FIM are to blame, they are the ones who set the technical regs. In sports like F1 they press the reset button every few years or the cars would be far too dangerous for the tracks they are racing on, the FIM don't seem to do this, for Speedway at least.
  16. They did, unfortunately one of the riders decided he'd rather watch a meeting in Poland than ride for his UK club 🤷‍♂️ The rider always has a choice... to sign a contract or not, if he'd rather watch a meeting in Poland than ride for the Lions or if the Lions management want to arrange fixtures knowing he'll be away, fine... just don't expect me to pay £25 to indulge them!
  17. ... and believe it or not that's what happens in proper sports 👍
  18. Handing facilities out willy nilly is hardly going to stop clubs from arranging fixtures when they know their riders are going to be away... you can continue to go and watch the charade if you like, I kept my £25 in my wallet last night, the first time I've done so with the Lions visiting Sheffield since they stepped back up into the top flight.
  19. Good, or wouldn't be British Speedway if there weren't at least one rider missing 👏
  20. Which riders are missing tonight?
