Crazysue And Speedway Updates Texters And Updaters
mickthemuppet replied to jrs's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I think everybody who follows Speedway should make a posting on here for all the great work that Sue and her team do for the enjoyment of speedway fans all over the world . Before this service sometimes you never knew the results until you read the Speedway Star. I remember sometimes trying to find the results on Teletext and looking perhaps twenty time and in the end no result ever came up. Keep up the great work.Well done -
If all you stupid people on here keep saying Susans 1 and Mick The muppet are the same people you are off your tiny rockers. Semi Final Ipswich V Somerset
mickthemuppet replied to mickthemuppet's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
A whole page and nothing about tonight's match Far too much waffle on the site nowdays. Why cannot people talk about the subject which is at the top of the page PS Just gone down to Tesco's and bought 12 jars of Marmite before it runs out as there is a shortage -
How can you have more fixtures if you had a set night. You can only have one home match a fortnight so over a six month period that would be 13 home matches only . Where would you fit the extra fixtures in. You would only get 26 home fixtures if you raced all the year round. Is this what you are advocating?

Surely the answer to which team makes the final is who picks the better reserve(s) on Thursday -

As Somerset are using Connor Coles this afternoon at Glagow will there be a fight between them and Ipswich for his services this Thursday -
Who Owns Their Own Stadiums
mickthemuppet replied to CookieIpswich's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The word lease gives you a clue that they do not own the stadium. Spedworth pay rent to Ipswich Speedway Ltd Spedworth who in turn sub lease the stadium to Ipswich Speedway Promotions Ltd whose sole shareholder is Chris Louis -

Somerset V Ipswich 7.10.16
mickthemuppet replied to Cliffeboy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
You do not get it do you. This is nothing to do with winning the league which means nothing. It's to do with money. It gives the riders at least two more pay days For the clubs, the income coming in might help for survival and having a team next season. -
The profit and loss of speedway clubs including Belle Vue will absolutely shock you.

Why do people keep saying race on one night a week and that should be a Monday. The worst night of the week for attracting an audience. That would mean teams would only be seen at home every other week. How many riders will want to do Poland Sunday, GB Monday, and then Sweden Tuesday. Then with a Sky TV match every Monday . the EL would be bankrupt before the end of the season because most would stay in and watch it.

Belle Vue Vs Wolves, Grand Final 2nd Leg, 5/10/16...
mickthemuppet replied to Col's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Probably one of the best races I have ever seen -
Since Sky sports came along nearly every sport has seen a decline in people supporting them. Much less people go to the grounds now than they did for all sports going back 30/40/50/60 years

Semi Final Ipswich V Somerset
mickthemuppet replied to mickthemuppet's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Why are the Witches not racing this Thursday. Their leaving it late in the season as this will not now be raced until October 13th. Any bad weather and this might not be completed. What if it is a draw on aggregate is there a replay of both legs? -
Should be a good semi final but Somerset will have to have guests as both their reserves are out injured.Possibly Jake Allen will be out too. Normally Somerset never do well at Foxhall although they won here earlier in the season and a 45-45 draw last season.Ipswich should have the opportunity to build a big first leg advantage at home on their present form
