I'll disagree, the last fish and chips I had at Rye were below par, never had a bad 'un at Mildenhall. Really hope get to visit Mildy again in 2011, my friend first went to speedway there and will be very happy to go back too.

Does it really matter? It's finally sorted, and I'd have thought you'd just be glad you have speedway to go watch again, regardless of who promotes it and how its gone about?

This is why, IMO, all three league decisions should be made at the same time. If all leagues are of equal importance, they should be treated as such.

Why would I wanna listen to a Rye House fan?

Ideally there would be 3 options - EL, NL and combination season ticket's, though that's getting into the realms of the ever so slightly complex.

Show's what I know about that, eh Irrespective, I still maintain it's a decent entrance price... costs and VAT are rising... and £10 is pretty much the standard NL price.

Can I ask why the £10 price was a downside? Its a standard NL price... to give an idea, prices are/were: £10 - Kings Lynn, Buxton, Weymouth, Scunthorpe, Bournemouth, Dudley Heathens I grant you Plymouth were marginally cheaper at £9, not sure on the other teams but have a feeling Mildenhall/Rye House were slightly more, though maybe someone could confirm?

Not entirely accurate there... yes, it is a league for upcoming riders so it won't be the same as you're used to, or the same level. It doesn't mean you won't see any racing, and that the riders will be crawling around not racing. The top half of the NL are riders who either are, have been, and/or want to be again PL reserves and moving up... and they are certainly capable of putting a good race on against each other. Yes, several of the riders will still be learning and it wont be the same level or speed you're used to. Just don't assume it will be a borefest.

I hope they do run NL. It's another NL track giving more riders the opportunity to get a spot in 2011, not to mention if the club closes it will doubtless become harder to re-open a year later than had they run in a lower league.

Looks like the Young Stars will be running in 2011, alternate weeks to the Elite League, thankfully.

Talking sense as ever, Baggy. I may not have attended much this year, but I wan't to get back to attending regularly, or at least semi-regularly, next year. I do think the situation with the leaks/rumours could have been handled better, but then all the speculation at the moment is just that... there is no point deciding anything when you don't even know what is going to happen. And to be frank, I'm not the biggest EL fan, but I'd want to attend a few meetings at KL (if indeed they do go EL) before deciding whether or not to attend regularly. And as I believe I've seen you post, possibly on the Facebook group, it will only be a small difference of £1-2 max (I expect were KL to stay PL the price would probably go up slightly anyway) to the entrance... and there would probably be less meetings over the season anyway.

Ugh, ignore that - my computer showed me with the KL 2011 thread open which I replied to... then it showed this topic, then the forum proceeded to crash, and told me afterwards it hadn't been posted... Joy.

I disagree, at least to a certain extent. Having a separate meeting isn't necessarily a problem, I just feel it would be better to discuss the NL sooner. At least it is December this year, rather than January previously. I know the NL starts a month later, but it would be better to get it all sorted (all three leagues) around the same time. I'd go on, but I know I'll be disagreed with anyway, so cant really be bothered to write more to be nit-picked at

I may do, depending on when it is.. would just be me, but may be nice to see folks again and get the news first hand.

I'll be interested to see what the team, and the prices, are next year. Will have a big factor in how much I go next year as hoping to get back into the swing of things. I guess Lynn are likely to have a meeting to announce the signings as they've had in previous years.. look forward to it.

It was implied by the rolling eyes smiley in the first post, or thats how it comes across..

I don't think that was a consideration in their marriage.
