Up date on Facebook on Charles Wright. Update on Charles Over the course of the last few of days, Doctors felt Charles had made positive progress in terms of pain management and mobility and allowed him out of hospital to rest and recuperate at our hotel, under the strict instruction not to travel home due to the significance of his injuries and his lung pneumothorax’s. Charles has not been formally discharged as yet and awaits further X-rays and tests tomorrow and if we receive positive news, he should be given a fit to fly. It could of course go the opposite way but we’ll cross that bridge should we come to it. Although Charles can walk unaided for a short distance, he is predominantly getting about by wheelchair. Today we will make it back to where this journey began to watch the final at Sparta Wrocław - it will be momentous occasion for them and for us as a family. Hopefully everything is moving in a positive direction and with everything crossed we hope to get the long awaited discharge papers and we can plan the next stage of the journey in coming home! As always, thank you to everyone for their unwavering support in all realms. Leanne

BULLETS FAREWELL (Berwick v Belle Vue, Sat 16th, 7pm)
screm replied to crescent girl's topic in National League Speedway
I believe this meeting has been arranged for this Saturday. -
Thanks for the loads of messages after today's accident. A broken tibia in my left leg means the end of the season for me. I would like to thank the team in the ambulance at the stadium for their great care, and the hospital at ZG for their professional approach to the case. Thanks also to the Garcarek Family Message posted on Twitter by Musielak.

For which I am perfectly happy to volunteer for. Not that it makes it anymore or any less acceptable but looking at some photos of the damage it seems that Berwick Rangers have been more affected than the speedway. Damage to their club shop and other parts of their football facilities.

Can someone take the shovel off this poster, they`re digging a hole they`re not going to be able to get out of.

Oh look everyone, its Mr Over reaction.

As I posted a few weeks ago after another bout of vandalism, I hope those responsible are dealt with and then reported. CLUB STATEMENT We are sad to inform everyone that Shielfield Park was broken into and vandalised last night. Both Berwick Speedway and Berwick Rangers FC have fallen victim to theft and vandalism for the second time this season and we are absolutely devastated. A large amount of stock and keys to essential track preparation equipment have been taken and we encourage anyone on Shielfield Terrace, Etal Road and surrounding areas to keep an eye out for the vehicle keys. Unfortunately lots of things have been vandalised and Northumbria Police are assessing CCTV footage and forensics are working to identify the guilty parties as we write this. After an incredibly tough season this was not the news we wanted to wake up to today. This a blow to everyone involved in making Berwick Speedway happen and we will do our very best to work through these problems and be ready for action on Saturday night for one last time in 2023!

Very sad news, Gordon was at Berwick a few weeks ago as spectator and was a welcome guest. RIP.
-
Steve Boxall has been banned for thirty days falling his drug test at Plymouth last week, obviously this now means he will miss this Saturday`s Bullets match with Belle Vue where Berwick will get a guest facility.
-
So Worrall is banned for thirty days even though his clubs have finished racing.
-
Cynical I know but you don't think that Buster isn't to fussed about trying to keep Peterborough speedway going as it might just get one or two extra along to his beloved Kings Lynn from Peterborough.

Hope this video helps.

Given the injuries to the Sparta Wroclaw riders of late its no surprise that Laguta has been "persuaded" he may have an injury and to rest tonight. -
Currently on his way to hospital for tests, best wishes to him as it was a nasty one.

I have some sympathy with Plymouth with the team they are putting out tonight, injuries to Gilkes, Barker and possibly Howarth is hardly their fault, and the Ritchie Worrall situation is down to the rider and nobody else. But how hard havbe the Plymouth promotion tried to book adequate replacements, probably not all that hard to be honest. Very poor from both clubs that no announcement on the two respective sides, and literally nothing from the home side about the teams they are asking their customers to pay good money for, seems they`re happy to get people in first then surprise at the parade. -

Ukraine v England in the football, England v Argentina in the rugby, free guided walks along the Union Chain Bridge along with a silent film with live music at Norham Village Hall all creates the perfect storm that will see many not bothering tonight, and no amount of free parking will save the day. Personally the tripe that I sat through in Glasgow`s demolition of Berwick a few weeks ago was enough to end my season there and then and the efforts at Scunthorpe last night have done nothing to convince otherwise. Also the apathy shown from both clubs is another good reason not to bother. -

Only works in the Premiership. -
Unfortunately for Berwick, its normally them that are doing the chasing at Shielfield, and to be honest they`re no great shakes at it giving our home record.
-
Scunthorpe wanted to win by 26pts then, yet more slim pickings on the road for Berwick. A 1pt return for a former sgp rider and a sgp winner to boot is quite frankly embarrassing.
-
Its a case of two wrongs do make a right.

Hasnt been the best of weeks for Plymouth. http://scbgb.co.uk/news.php?extend.161.1

Leicester lions 2023 (PREMIERSHIP)

Proof if proof were needed that making changes just for the sake of it isn't the way to go most of the time. The team manager should have a few questions to answer.
