  1. Whilst i echo all your sentiments the simple truth is that if the crowds arent coming on a regular bases then the Workington promotion can`t support a failing business for ever and I know Laura Morgan has made enough sacrifices already to keep the Comets on track. Thing is there will be a number of clubs in roughly the same position as Workington, I hope all will come to the tapes for 2018.
  2. Berwick`s Liam Carr has finished third in todays NLRC at Leicester, unsurprisingly the meeting was won by Dan Bewley.
  3. I think there are a number of hurdles for Workington to jump before they start putting a team together.
  4. Shambles No............... Speedway Shambles‏ @SpeedwayShamble 13m13 minutes agoMore 4 rider changes, delayed start and a rumour the tires haven't arrived yet for the NLRC
  5. I think the Worralls will be re-united next season but it could be in the red and white of Glasgow rather than the black and white of Newcastle.
  6. And so they should IMO both Pearson and Tatum do an excellent job, seems there`s just no pleasing some. Hardly a classic SGP last night, big step to becoming World Champ by Doyle as his main competitors fell by the way side, while any hopes of Tai Woffinden putting up much of a challenge imploded.
  7. Conor Mountain crashed last night racing for Mildenhall in their meeting at Stoke and misses out today.
  8. Sadly for SGP I think we have seen the last of Nicki and IMO the series is the poorer for it.
  9. What on earth`s going on with Tai, bike stopping at the tapes, no steel shoe, tape touching.
  10. Congratulations to the Berwick junior team on winning the NJL 4TT at Redcar today.
  11. Amazingly riders over on Twitter blaming the ref, all you ask is that he is consistent which he is so the riders on warnings have only themselves to blame. If Doyle keeps this up he will surely have one hand on the World Championship trophy.
  12. Mr Woffinden making a bit of a chump of himself.
  13. You are correct of course, but the point remains that Berwick did complete all their fixtures before cut off due, part of which was due to the track covers that saved four or five meetings from rain offs and subsequent re-arrangements.
  14. Looks like there is a delayed start due to rain, so its tractor racing at the minute.

  16. Where he scored 9+1 in his sides 53-36 defeat at the hands of Gniezno.
  17. If Bjerre chooses to ride in the re-arranged SEC meeting tomorrow, or is instructed to, I don`t see any way that Belle Vue can get any facility other than a 4pt rider in Bjerre`s place as the BSPA don`t recognise these meetings.
  18. All going wrong so far for Falubaz, speaking of which I don`t think we have heard from our resident Falubaz loon, is everything ok.
  19. I know Laura Morgan has made considerable personal and financial sacrifices to keep Workington Speedway going, sadly towards the end of last season there were doubts about speedway continuing in Workington due to low crowds. It would be a real shame if the doors were to be closed but sadly it wouldn't come as a shock.
  20. Whilst you could well be right you must st least concede that if Lambert takes his place in his Polish meeting tomorrow it will look pretty iffy.
  21. Decent start to today weather wise though there might be one or two showers around later on going by this forecast. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819?day=0
