  1. When Shielfield is well prepared the racing is as good as anywhere else and you can bet the club will pull out all the stops for this one. The changes to bend three seem to give the riders three options now going in where there was really only one line in the past, hopefully that will improve the racing.
  2. Liam Carr has tonight scored 11+1 from six rides riding at Kent for his NL team Coventry, unfortunately he couldn't stop his team going down by 54-36.
  3. Win, lose or draw I hope the meeting at Berwick, and the meeting a couple of nights later at Glasgow, entertains the people watching and proves PL speedway is worth watching.
  4. Up to a couple of years ago Barker was certainly one of the top guys in the PL, and a decent rider in the EL. Obviously his back injury hasn't helped but it seems his down turn in form is more mechanical and financial than anything else.
  5. Yes I`m going, flying out early Friday morning.
  6. Change for change sake very rarely works though, Ipswich seem to have a capable team on paper but aren't producing decent results on track.
  7. Maybe but as I don't know either I cant comment, but the debate about the best rider to have as our reserve should now be over.
  8. If one or two of your riders don't up their game at Newcastle tonight you might want to avoid the updates between 6 and 9 tonight.
  9. At least the debate between Bates and Ellis, for the reserve place in Team GB, can be put to bed now.
  10. Thankfully for Ipswich at least Danny King turned up, the rest needn't have bothered. Sad to see how far Ben Barkers form has falling away, couple of seasons ago he was one of the PL`s top riders sadly now he looks very much like his best days are very much behind. But for a blip at Glasgow last Sunday Berwick`s form at the minute is excellent, bring in the right rider at No1 and we might just hang onto a play off place yet. Regarding tapes up at 7pm, as advertised, couldn't agree more.
  11. Weather for tomorrow looks decent but lets face it, for those of us lucky enough to be in Berwick this week it couldn't have got much worse. More October than June. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819?day=1
  12. Not really, you could put a rider out on their own where he could record fast times time after time but no good in a race situation or in a SWC situation. As I`ve posted earlier Woffinden, Lambert, Cook plus one of King or Nicholls will make up our team IMO with the reserve place going to one of Ellis or Bates, Bates being my choice.
  13. Fair enough, I am sure Ellis wouldn't let anyone down, I`d go for Josh Bates. Much more important IMO opinion we get our top four right as no matter who the Under-21 reserve is he may never get a ride.
  14. Not to fussed about who`s fastest, just want to know who is the best rider and who will score points.
  15. Fantastic experience for him, results aren`t important as what he learns now could make him all the better rider later. Would they look to a new rider on an assessed average, or a rider with PL experience who hasn't raced over here for a year or two.
  16. Agree with you, I think the last place is right now between King and Nicholls and at a push Harris though he will need one helluva month to force his way into our team. After that our reserve position should go to Josh Bates.
  17. It is noticeable that reading this thread, the one on the British Final thread and the one on the SWC thread that very few have Chris Harris anywhere Team GB, one wonders if Rossiter will feel the same.
