  1. To be frank, Ward should've thought about before going out drinking.
  2. Bright and breezy start to this Saturday, and forecast to stay that way. IMO we should be able to see off the Bears reasonably comfortably tonight, obviously no Bellego weakens Berwick, though that means extra rides for Kus which in his present form cant be a bad thing.
  3. Tells you everything, that so many people think Ward wont learn from any punishment handed out, IMO in a few years we will be looking back on Wards career and asking what if.....
  4. Krzysztof Kasprzak NKI Bartosz Zmarzlik Greg Hancock 4TT pick Gorzow
  5. Ashley Birks drops to reserve for Scunthorpe for September, looks a handy reserve to me.
  6. If it gets back to his league racing this season, and keeps him in SGP for next season it would be money well spent, though in cases like this the one big winner will be the legal teams on either side.
  7. The top four looked stitched on four the play-offs, after that there are six clubs chasing two places, even as far down as Workington cant be dis-counted given the amount of meetings they have in hand, but at this time of the season points on the board must be an advantage.
  8. Confirmed by the FIM jury that Cyfer will indeed replace the injured Woffinden.
  9. Looking good weather wise for Saturday, it will be a bright and breezy day. There is the chance, just the chance of the odd shower but with the north-westerly breezy any showers will be short lived and wont have any affect on the meeting tomorrow night. Lawson has missed an incredible amount of meetings for Redcar, but they must've known the dates he would be missing and still went ahead and signed him, but I agree that this kind of thing has to stop. Thankfully at Berwick we don't have any riders who must put their EL clubs first.
  10. No Woffinden, and Pedersen less than 100%, equals big chance for Hancock to open up a gap at the top of the table.
  11. Good to see Wethers on the way back, as reported in Speedway Star it would take a while before he would be ready to return, clearly putting into perspective one posters claims that his return would be in the Redcar match. Far better for rider and club to wait that bit longer, especially has he returns as a reserve.
  12. Berwick 1 Claus Vissing 2 James Sarjaent 3 Steen Jensen 4 R/R 5 Kevin Doolan 6 Alex Edberg 7 Matej Kus Redcar 1 Sam Masters 2 Hugh Skidmore 3 Mark Lemon 4 Carl Wilkinson 5 Aaron Summers 6 Jan Graversen 7 Rafal Konopka
  13. How true, though even the forum fannies know that its Stuart Robson that rides for Newcastle and not his brother Scott, who if my information is correct retired some time ago.
  14. Berwick announced that Wethers will return this Saturday for the Redcar match, one thing is clear though, now Wethers is moving to reserve he must be fit enough to take a possible seven rides, as IMO he will be the key rider for any play-off ambitions we have, if that means he sits out racing and just gets a practice in for the next week or two then so be it. But you are correct, the guests we can call on is very impressive.
  15. Personally I cant see what the fuss is about, Mathew Wethers, as it said in the newsletter the other day, will be the Berwick reserve for September, the club wouldn't release a newsletter to their supporters that was that factually wrong. Septembers averages. 1 Claus Vissing 7-96 2 Kevin Doolan 6-79 3 Matej Kus 6-94 4 Steen Jensen 6-68 5 David Bellego 6-26 6 Mathew Wethers 6-15 7 Alex Edberg 3-84
  16. Yes, I like them, or at least they are far better than the month to month average fiddling that used to go on, of course this system is still open to abuse but it takes that bit longer.
  17. The riders had all day Monday, and most of Tuesday to prepare themselves for the Peterborough meeting, your argument probably just about stands up for the long haul from Berwick to Rye House, though it didn't seem to affect the Rye House riders. Surely as professional sportsman, its not much to ask for the riders to be fully prepared for every meeting, I realise there is a lot of work but its all part of the job of a speedway rider. I thought we would've been good enough to bring back a point or two from the two meetings at Rye House and especially Peterborough, I was badly wrong.
  18. Cant see a technicality has been breached, Ward was selected for an alcohol test, and failed.
  19. This result in some ways is a bigger disappointment than Sundays efforts at Rye House, on a bigger track that should've suited us far more than Hoddesdon we have come away with nothing. When will we learn that when we have a reserve scoring as Matek Kus is he must have a full seven rides, looking at the scores both Jensen and Vissing should've been replaced in one of their rides, might not have made a difference but to see Kus with 13pts from six rides would suggest he would scored some points in an extra race.
  20. Would just like to thank everyone for their kind words over the last few days after my little get off on Thursday. I have sustained serious injuries to both cruciate ligaments in my right knee along with the patella tendon and HCL ligament on the inner side of my knee. The only thing connecting my lower leg to the upper is the skin and muscle, so I currently have a cast on until my multiple operations to reattach the 4 snapped ligaments. This is just the start of a long long road to recovery. Thanks again, hope to see you all soon. This was Liam`s post on Facebook, hopefully he makes a full recovery asap.
  21. Agreed, the FIM will only look at Wards failure to pass the alcohol test in Latvia, nothing else. They will also need to make sure whatever decision they come to is legally water tight as Ward will be allowed an appeal if he thinks his punishment, should he get one, is over the top.
  22. The averages haven't been updated on the BSPA site, the last issued updated averages was the 21st August, since then we have raced four meetings though it would take a helluva change in the averages to get Kus, Bellego and Jensen all above Wethers.
  23. Its beating Berwick you should be concentrating on.
  24. Its really not much to ask is it, that before whoever does the newsletter hits send that they have a bit of a read through. Berwick strive so hard to get the important information out there to their fans, I`m sure there will be no more errors in future.
