Sadly an all to familiar story for Berwick on their travels this season,a story that Im sure will continue at Scunthorpe tonight. Ashworths scoring must becomming a real concern now,I saw him in the 4s at Peterborough where he looked good,sadly his PL scores are not what they should be for a No1.He needs to rediscover the scoring we all know he is capable of,for himself and more importantly for the team.

That`ll be Mr Dick Barrie,he is neither manager nor promoter,but he is the regular Berwick announcer.

Snedden at reserve could be a real trump card,he`s always scored reasonably well round Berwick while in the main body of the team,that scoring could prove to be a match winner if he`s giving extra rides.

And here it is.......Dudel. The presence of two young riders (Dudel and Bech) who have already been in World Cup-winning teams highlights the quality of the field. In addition, 18-year-old Mikkel Michelsen made a dramatic Elite League debut on Sky TV on Monday, and must be a favoured competitor.

How pleasing it would be to see Berwick get something,but their form this season away from home suggests not.

According to Plymouth,Bech becomes an asset when he completes another couple of meetings.

We`ll need more than luck,we`re next to hopeless away....come to think of it we arent excatly crash hot at home either.

Well lets see,anyway we cant get one of our riders to turn up at Ipswich tomorrow night,so are no better off.

Bechs talents are not in question,but his missing meetings do Plymouth no good atall,it seems that the Plymouth are intent on making him an asset,which will be a real coup for them as I cant see Bech being with the Devils next season.

How I wish the actual match between Ipswich & Edinburgh on track could cause as much of a stir as the hoohar between Barker & Cook has.

Berwick will be missing Robin Aspegren,who fancies riding in Sweden this Thursday instead of Ipswich for Berwick.Id love to say he`d be a huge miss but truth is he probably wont.

If Kus is Redcars new No1,will Havelock snr be all that keen to have him back,giving his scoring this season at times Id say no.However as Kus has now made a track return,I think we can look forward to seeing him back at Redcar very soon.

Smith is already doing the qualifying round for next years Longtrack GP Series in September,if he qualifiys,or if he fancies a go at Longtrack racing next season,that would just about rule him out of Berwicks plans anyway due to the amount of saturdays he would miss.

I suppose 39pts around Armadale for Berwick is something of an achievement so for that I congratulate the riders for their performances especially Matt Wethers,but with six race winners all night,four of them from Wethers,its unlikely Berwick were ever going to get a point last night.
