  1. EL snobbery at work here IMO,Cook has been excellent in both EL & PL this season for his clubs, and fully deserved his shot in the SWC.IMO he let nobody down and was well in most of his races, maybe just lacking that bit of experience at times. If the likes of Cook is the future of Team GB then just what Cook is expected to learn sitting at home watching the Play-Offs sat at home. So Barker & Bridger get their go on Thursday,Barker has had plenty to say on the subject, especially at the 4s last sunday so lets see if Barker can walk the walk as well as talking the talk.As for Bridger, well he has a big opinion of himself and will be found out as in previous big meetings.
  2. Thats terrible,I thought we were bad in taking aboy 40 mins to get out the field. Other than the car parking I thoroughly enjoyed my 1st trip to Kings Lynn.
  3. Starke has done more than could ever have been asked of him in general, fair to say hes had one or two quieter meetings of late but he was certainly back on form last saturday. Kozza Smith is taking part in the Longtrack GP Qualifier in September, should he be successful then it would be daft to sign him at Berwick next season given the amount of saturday nights he be missing.
  4. Probably not,Ive was staying in Peterborough over sunday and monday and last night it took as long to get out of the car park than the journey back to Peterborough.Maybe you could move it to the EoES,theres ample parking there.
  5. Time to take it to a track where you have an adequate car park for a start, and where your not asking people to park in a field just across from the Norfolk Arena.
  6. The non signing of Dyer is a mystery,as soon as it became known that Edinburgh werent going to use him Berwick shouldve been in pole position.Dyer himself said in last nights programme that joining Berwick was the best thing he did last season,so a return wouldve been on if it were up to the rider. Id pick out your point about building a tea,IMO out teams over the last few seasons have looked capable of doing the business, sadly it could be argued that our promotion and/or management are not getting the best out of those riders.
  7. Not for the first time we seem to lack that killer instinct, when you have a team down and only a few races to go the good teams dont let them back,Berwick do.Take nothing away from Redcar, they must be celebrating tonight, but IMO this is a meeting Berwick should not have lost.
  8. Well Im going to Peterborough tomorrow and then onto Kings Lynn on Monday.
  9. Questions must be being asked tonight as to how you lead a meeting by eight after eight races, and seven after thirteen races and still end up losing.Great meeting to watch mind and all credit to Redcar on their win but geez how many times do Berwick have to faulter at before they learn. Some positives for Berwick even in defeat, the return for Ashworth was steady if unspectacular,Bellego continues his good form as does Smith, and again tonight Paul Starke scored more that could be ever expected of him.Sadly the same cannott be said for Robin Aspegren,I found his performance tonight poor and totally unacceptable, even accepting a fall and exclusion in his third ride, his two point score could be considered the main reason for this defeat and there must come a point where his air fares and other expenses out way his contribution to the team at home and away for most of this season. For Redcar Micky Dyer was outstanding,Berwick must be kicking themselves if they passed up signing him last close season,Skidmore was always in and around things ans was the Redcar hero in Ht15,Ostergaard had quite an odd night, two good gates and race wins and two poor rides with no points. To sum up,an enjoyable meeting to watch even if it leaves me frustrated by another home defeat.
  10. Lets hope thats true, this cloud cover we`ve now got should help keep the moisture in the track.
  11. Another warm and sunny day in prospect today, with Berwick Rangers playing at home this afternoon Im sure theres been plenty work and water been put into the track earlier this week given the kind of weather we`ve had in Berwick.
  12. The extra rides may help Redcar, though Dyer is riding through the pain barrier just now thanks to a recent crash.Dyer was the main reason why Redcar won at Berwick in the KOC earlier this season,Havelock & Co must be hoping ex-Berwick rider Carl Wilkinson can do the same.
  13. Good move for both club and rider,Seb showed in his time with us at Berwick that he can do more than a useful job in the PL.
  14. Crashed at Edinburgh in May and suffered nerve and muscle damage to his neck and back,he requires surgery which needs six months recovery,so all being well we will see him back racing over here next March.
  15. I imply nothing, merely I read something that was reported on the offical site and found it interesting.
  16. Wall to wall sunshine in Berwick this week, and forecast to stay that way with light winds and warm tempratures all weekend. Of course you could always edit your post,as Im sure the misspelling of Redcar was unintentional.
  17. And its an opinion you are absolutely entitled to.
  18. Sadly Ty Proctor has been ruled out for the rest of this season, maybe Plymouth could do alot worse than sign Seb Alden for that time.
  19. Mr Hamblin didnt write the report in post61,Berwick promoter Dennis McCleary wrote the report.
  20. Worrall races on a sunday for Newcastle,so that would rule out Poland for this season at least. You`d like to think so wouldnt you.
  21. You seem quick to jump on my post, hence the exclamation mark.I posted simply so people who dont visit the Berwick threads in the PL section,or the Berwick site would see the entrance charges. Its that simple.
  22. I hope this means that last nights injuries are not as bad as first feared and he will take his place in the Plymouth.
  23. We love pap. Interesting to read that Edward Kennett was refusing to go back to his full-time duty for Swindon. As things stand Carr will race in two more fixtures for Berwick, away at Rye House and Somerset as Paul Starke will be riding for his NL club on those occasions.
