Another warm and sunny day in prospect today, with Berwick Rangers playing at home this afternoon Im sure theres been plenty work and water been put into the track earlier this week given the kind of weather we`ve had in Berwick. -

The extra rides may help Redcar, though Dyer is riding through the pain barrier just now thanks to a recent crash.Dyer was the main reason why Redcar won at Berwick in the KOC earlier this season,Havelock & Co must be hoping ex-Berwick rider Carl Wilkinson can do the same. -
Good move for both club and rider,Seb showed in his time with us at Berwick that he can do more than a useful job in the PL.
-
Crashed at Edinburgh in May and suffered nerve and muscle damage to his neck and back,he requires surgery which needs six months recovery,so all being well we will see him back racing over here next March.

I imply nothing, merely I read something that was reported on the offical site and found it interesting. -

Wall to wall sunshine in Berwick this week, and forecast to stay that way with light winds and warm tempratures all weekend. Of course you could always edit your post,as Im sure the misspelling of Redcar was unintentional. -

And its an opinion you are absolutely entitled to. -
Sadly Ty Proctor has been ruled out for the rest of this season, maybe Plymouth could do alot worse than sign Seb Alden for that time.

Worrall races on a sunday for Newcastle,so that would rule out Poland for this season at least. You`d like to think so wouldnt you. -
I hope this means that last nights injuries are not as bad as first feared and he will take his place in the Plymouth.

We love pap. Interesting to read that Edward Kennett was refusing to go back to his full-time duty for Swindon. As things stand Carr will race in two more fixtures for Berwick, away at Rye House and Somerset as Paul Starke will be riding for his NL club on those occasions. -

Thanks for highlighting this post for, though I wouldve come across on my own.I still stand by what I said last sunday, which by the way seems so long ago,I didnt enjoy last saturdays meetings, its not a crime, its not a hanging offence,I didnt enjoy the meeting. As everyone knows Im normally the epitome of positivity on these Berwick threads, just not quite so much on this occasion. -

Well if nothing else you`ve cleared up one little thing. Why do you have to be-little a perfectly reasonable post by Fromafar with a daft "could you do better" comment, its certainly the case that the track was not at its best last saturday, and gave us not the best of meetings which is sad to see as in the previous few meetings the racing had been good to watch. On these occasions there had been rain on the day of or in the previous days to the meeting, maybe we got those tracks but luck rather than by design. And as long as you pay to watch,I believe that gives you the right to an opinion, within reason of course. -

Ashworth 8-84 Bellego 5-71 Aspegren 6-64 Wethers 6-75 Smith 7-42 Starke 3-00 Barrett 4-22 Total 42-58. Averages are from the BSPA site and were effective from July 3rd,saturdays meeting will have changed those but only slightly. -

To be fair to Kennett his short career with Berwick has been very stop start as we have have had quite a few free saturdays of late, though him going off to try the GP Qualifiers didnt help. -

I found last nights meeting to long drawn out, intermitent and for the most part just plain boring, that boredom was interrupted only by a couple of thrilling rides by Kozza Smith inparticularly in Ht11 where he caught Jorgensen right on the line just as it looked Scunthorpe were on for an 8-1,Bellego to made a couple of decent passes and again was probably Berwicks best rider on the night. The flow of the meeting wasnt help either by the riders from both teams, though mainly Scunthorpe, jumping at the starts and a referee who seemed to have difficulty in finding the two minute button, many times we were sat looking at an empty track having to listen to Mr Barries witterings. Decent night for most of the home side, once again Kewis Kerr showed a liking for Shielfield,Aspegren looked good and was robbed of a race win in Ht3 after his chain gave out.Kennetts last meeting was nothing to right home about, its up for arguement whether or not his signing has been a success on or off track,Im sure hes done his best though for me Im quite happy to see Ashworth back. Josh Auty was Scunthorpes best rider but sadly for him there was no back up for him,Toft deserved more for his efforts though those efforts werent helped after he was knock off by his teamate Ashley Birks who clearly has read the team riding manual.David Howe looked good in his first ride, but tailed off after that, though crashing in his third ride didnt help. Thered seemed a bit of a problem with the track last night on the exit of turn two, with riders hitting grip and lifting,it claimed David Howe and it caused Lewis Blackbird to lift a collect Berwicks guest Kerr, all thankfully all ok but its something that needs addressed, which Im sure it will be.
