I know he's on here and will read this, so I'll start off by saying he produces great podcasts and does a stellar job on BSN and while I understand it's great to have a glass half full outlook on life, I'm more of a pragmatist.

I don't know which club you support but what you've got to understand is that us Cov fans put up with a lot of 🐄💩 from Mick Horton who strung us out for his last couple of years, whenever he was asked anything about the future of the club the same old replies kept coming, there's stuff going on behind the scenes, we're looking at sites, I can't say too much at the moment. So when I hear things these days like the return of Speedway to Coventry may be closer than you think my first reaction in the face of any real news on this front is I've heard it all before. Especially when we've seen the closure of many clubs over the years, remember the roof at Odsal? Remember we're just dotting the i's and crossing the t's for Long Eaton's new stadium and it still goes on today more recently with Wolverhampton, there's a site 15 miles away... Swindon and their new just off the M4 track.

Like I've said before, nothing would please me more than to see the return of Speedway to Brandon but to be told we're following a "doom monger narrative" when commenting on the information we actually have in the public domain is difficult to take. Some others may come at it with a bit more of a sledgehammer approach but I'm not going to give up hope, but at the moment that is all it still is... hope 🙏 

Firstly, I was not referring to any of your posts, it’s was the one which was claiming it will never happen. I have never said a return is imminent, just that maybe closer than we have been what with everything but a long way from imminent   I’m not party to anything specific but I know things are going as well as they can at this stage, as has been detailed in press releases from the group and interviews which are in the public domain not least on the NBNF podcast with Jeff Davies.   I know first hand what it is like to lose a club, I’m a Bradford fan so you don’t need to tell me about super domes and roofs. Even more frustrating is they have a shale track down and still no speedway but that’s another story. 

Should anyone wish to hear the interview with Jeff Davies it is in this episode here, it’s a few weeks old but nothing has happened in the meantime to make this update any different or less positive at this stage.

So whilst not getting anyone’s hopes up but the to say it will never happen is equally wide of the mark. Let’s see, this is not just a petition, people are working to try and make this happen and they deserve our support. Many have supported it, we’ve spoken about it on BSN to help drive the campaign for public backing, and the support has been excellent. 

We all hope it has a good outcome, anybody can say it won’t. One of us will be right 😂🤷🏼‍♂️

I know you didn't say a return was imminent and I didn't say you did, all I said was that I was getting the impression, with some of the language being used, that it almost seemed a return was imminent and that maybe you knew something we didn't. I agree with everything you say about the campaign and the point that they are at and the effort that has gone in. I've never seen @R87 post anything positive about Speedway and while I don't share his view about it never happening I also can't get too excited until I can see moves are being made to acquire the stadium.

Maybe I'm suffering from a bit of Brannan fatigue... I go to the Speedway and you're on the pa introducing the teams, you're then back on the pa with your NBNF highlights podcast, I come home and switch BSN on and you're commentating on that, I go to listen to my Speedway podcasts and you're on them all at one time or another, I watch the GP and I can hear you introducing the riders, I come on here and you're posting, I switch the radio on and your yelling "Pets in a Pickle" in my ear during the ad breaks!!! It seems like you're almost omnipresent in my life 😉😂

I'm joking of course but you do have a wide reach within our sport, so every time I hear the positivity I keep asking myself how can the stadium be purchased, especially while "land banking" is continued to be allowed in this country.

Anyway keep up the good work for all you do within Speedway and who knows maybe a return of the Bradford/Coventry league and cup matches of the past. 🙏🤞

Is English your first language? It doesn't seem so, the only person to use the words you've quoted in the order you've quoted them is you! Come back to me when you've learnt to read and understand the English language correctly and maybe we can have a civil discussion. Until then stop bothering me!

@R87 is the poster who said "good riddance" when Wolves closed lets not forget.

There is still much work to do in the fight to keep Coventry running again.  While Brandon is still there though (albeit decaying) never say never.  I wish them well.
