This looks a little bit more hopeful for Coventry and the 'Bees'.

Some (one) of the naysayers should be ashamed of themselves. Folk only want and hope for their  Speedway to return, what is so very wrong with that?

I live in Sunderland and have no skin in the game, but I would love Coventry to return to Speedway.

Up The 'Bees'!!!!!

With crowds down at just about every track in the country , including stock cars, and so few clubs now active what is there left to justify any building of a new stadium to host motorsports ?

While there is life, there is hope.

Apparently there are investors prepared to put their  money in to Coventry Speedway. This has been mentioned before on here. If this is true, then the Supporters of Coventry Speedway and those with the interest in this Sport of Speedway nationally should support 'Bees' Supporters efforts 100% and that is what I am trying to do.

Remember, the Northampton 'Foxes' started from a much lower base than Coventry will, as I believe that there is still a hard core of Coventry Supporters that would support the Club.

Northampton started with next to nothing as far as support is concerned.

Up The 'Bees' !!!

It is very clear that a stadium is the preferred option for the residents, the local authority and the would be owners for this to be a community facility that is led by it's motorsport heritage. All of those parties need to come together to enable a sustainable operation to be permitted, it is not as simple as chucking a Sunday boot sale on the car park. Overall consent needs to open the door of opportunity with the right balance of utilisation it could be a huge success.

Had some great trips to Brandon over the years. The British Final on a hot Sunday afternoon was always a great occasion.

Hopefully a CPO will be granted and the consortium with the money can buy the stadium and get it back to what it used to be.  Would be great to go to Brandon again for speedway. All the best.

Why only a proposal for a possible Speedway site. Why not build the Speedway Stadium first, then do the landscaping and play areas, finally build the homes.

because there is no new site  and they full well know it  , no stone has been left unturned in the quest for an alternative site and none have ever been found , brandon estates are now fully singing from Gaming internationals bible of how to build on a stadium with the empty promise of a new site , then make no effort to even go through the sham of finding one ,once the first brick has been laid

Or better still, don't waste your time as its never going to happen, regardless what the toxic positivity lot say

how many times have we been told great day for Coventries comeback  ,this got overturned that got refused. the secretary of state says No ,so that's it no more applications for housing .. and then just a matter of weeks later another application is handed in . IMHO   if you offered Brandon estates 20 Million for the site they would still not sell  , this has become a battle of wills just like Cradley Heath ,, heard the song I get Knocked down but i get up again ? that's about brandon estates

Credit for what?  A decade in, the place is still derelict.  They are absolutely deluded

 IT IS NOT VIABLE.
