They'll always be someone who doesnt like the coverage but I think majority of people who watch BSN are happy with the service. There will be presenters that are to someone's taste and not to others but overall the coverage is brilliant and better than the TV.

Will they add Tatum on the team

Tatum O’neal?

That would be a refreshing change.

I did not sub to BSN in 2025 and not because of their service but they can only work with what they are given and the product of British Speedway is in the main crap.

I don't have a team to support anymore so as a neutral i want to see good racing and most tracks now are so slick because the bikes cant handle anything else.

There is no variety with so few clubs and riders riding for multiple, for me its not worth it.

Nor do i have cable tv sky etc

I stick with watching highlights on social media and looking through more vintage stuff (ie pre laydowns)

@IanBrannan are you able to disclose any information in terms of what the imbeciles at the BSPL are advising about this season’s fixtures?

It must be a nightmare for BSN; unable to promote or sell literally the only positive product associated with what has become a shambles of a sport in this country.

Add to that the fact fans can’t plan travel and accommodation while riders committed to more organised leagues will inevitably encounter availability issues with their UK clubs.

The AGM was almost a month ago. They are utterly inept at their job. It’s embarrassing.

I am told the CL fixtures are going through the final adjustments and may be out by the weekend.
PL is different as there’s still no confirmation on Ipswich and Northampton. I’m sure the drafts will have been circulated - for 5 and for 6 teams - but can’t be finalised until they know how many to plan for

I think don’t worry about it, soon the day will come and you’ll wonder what all the stress was about 🧘

I’m not stressed, Ian. I just don’t think we should normalise low standards. British speedway repeatedly forces its fans to accept the bare minimum as success. That mindset is contributing to the slow death of the sport we love.

I’ve raised valid points around logistics, accommodation, hospitality, governance, etc. and those points don’t disappear because the inept BSPL have issued the fixtures over a month later than last season, despite the sport’s blatant decline.

I don't think anyone is claiming it is ideal, logistics and accommodation affect everyone. However I think on this occasion it's best to take a bit more time to think things through for the longer term, and hopefully a lot more straightforward in future. Some of the issues are beyond the BSPL, waiting for legal processes or 3rd party discussions etc to run through. Hopefully light at the end of the tunnel now.

What exactly do you mean by ”think things through for the longer-term”?

What is there to be thought through that will benefit us long-term? This isn’t quantum physics, Ian. It’s planning the same season’s meetings, but with less clubs due to aforementioned decline, since 1929.

Every close season represents an opportunity for the BSPL to reset and rebuild. Yet, at arguably the most challenging period in the UK sports’ history, we’ve encountered a ridiculously delayed fixture list and the exciting, groundbreaking outcome from the annual AGM that.. wait for it… the side who scored less in qualifying will get first gate pick in the Championship Pairs.
