Poole 2025

I really don’t get the over reaction for Poole replacing their number 7. They gave Marson the chance and he just isn’t on the pace of the other riders. So they have now given the opportunity of riding for the club to someone else?
yes it’s an early change but Marson didn’t show any fight or improvement.

poole stuck by Perry as he was often on the pace and showed some improvement, sadly Perry was always very poor coming out the tapes. Poole then brought in Foord who played a huge part in winning the league. Poole don’t ride to make up the numbers. They ride to win.

Perry was also sacked so hardly stuck by.

”Poole stuck by Perry”. Didn’t Poole sack Perry?😂

Sacking your temporary number seven after what, four meetings? Absolute panic stations at Wimborne Road.

Or..... given your temporary number seven 4 meetings to show what they can do at this level, make a judgement and take appropriate action as required.

Maybe you are just judging this by your threshold for panic, relax!

He’s a temporary number seven, for Christ’s sake.😂

You wouldn’t even make a judgement call on a number one after four meetings, never mind a reserve… let alone a number seven… and a temporary one at that.😂

The absolute irony and hypocrisy of Neil Middleditch saying in this week’s Speedway Star that riders need encouragement, not criticism - or words to that effect - when they’re struggling is incredible.

Matt Marson’s a young man who deserves more than being dumped after four meetings at the expense of someone who will be replaced in 48 days.

I still don't understand, did Poole seriously expect more from Marson? I guess from their actions, they did, which seems an unusual error on their part... Everyone else knew!

Perry isnt new is he?

Max Perry is not new, but if you had checked his starting GSA for 2025 it is 2.00.

Thought you would have been aware of this when Poole ditched him in 2024 when his GSA was 2.00

Still we must make allowances for you being unable to comprehend this🫢

Fully appreciate that he was a 2.00 at the start of 2025, not saying his average is wrong just comparing to Ritchings who apparently according to Lewy should be a 3.00. I fail to understand why he thinks he should be a 3.00.

Ritchings 2016 GSA was indeed 3.00.

His scores: 34 rides, 16 points.

So he received the then minimum assessment of 3.00.

Given the antiquity of the average, reassessment of his NDL figure and the dropping of the minimum average, 2.00 seems appropriate.

Not going to make much of a difference. He is not likely going to bother the scorers. Can’t do any worse though.

A great way to encourage and motivate your new signing.

He's already made one guest appearance - beating Dec Kennedy [current av >5] fair and square - and comparing his NDL/T scores with the likes of Wood, Perry, Hodder and Spencer suggest he should exceed his 2pt assessed average.

Yes we hope so, any points he gets would be a positive.
