have you seen ritchings or starke ride this year out of interest?

No I haven’t

All I can go on is points scored

If one of my reserves was scoring 4 or 5 most meetings and the other was getting mainly 1 or 2 then I would keep the one who was scoring most

If in the next few weeks Ritchings scores better than Starke then that’s a different argument

If one had to go today for Cairns then that has to be Ritchings

As of yet I’ve not read one Poole fan tell me why I’m wrong but as usual just get the usual responses

Perhaps you shouldn't keep coming on Poole threads, and worry about your own team, Ipswich

Poole will keep Starke over Ritchings unless there’s a double change, if there was a rider who would be a significant upgrade on Kerr or Thompson then I think Poole would hold on to Ritchings over Starke for the average points.

Starke has been disappointing dropping silly points and looking off the pace

Ritchings has been getting better every single meeting, you’d expect Starke to win tonight but I don’t think he will. Hopefully he proves me wrong as I would like to see one of the current pirates or Vinnie win it

With tonight's meeting being advertised as:-

Harbour Masters Championship (National League Riders Development Individual)

Then why is Paul Starke replacing William Cairns?

We Know William is injured, but which National League team Does Paul Starke represent?

It's relatively last minute. Trying to get ndl riders to a midweek track is difficult enough!!

According to the racecard on the BSN website, we have Jason Edwards guesting for Zach at Glasgow on Friday. Anyone know why?

No, haven't seen any team news. Sure it isn't a typo? If it is accurate, fair play to Jason as Redcar are at Plymouth the day after!

Edit - Barker at 2 for Glasgow also. Do well to get to 40!

There must be something going on? As Luke Mcdiarmid (not sure if I spelt that right!) isn't riding for Oxford either on Friday, neither is Luke Killeen, so maybe some sort of qualifier going on somewhere?

Feel sorry for any Poole fans that went tonight ….
As soon as Cairns pulled out and was replaced by Starke it was obvious Starke would win this with ease best rider in the field on his home track …. I fully expect Rushen to go on to have a better career than Starke though

If Cairns had have rode then the winner could not have been predicted

As Starkey said in interview the track was different tonight - so easy to ride with not so much material on it compared to how most of the team want it for League meetings.

Incidentally 20 heats run in under 2 hours. Only 3 d/qs or slide-offs.

Only 4 points separating the top 5 finishers. Well done to all and both current Pirates on the podium.

Starke decent tonight. Not up against much and only led for half a lap in his last before he blasted around Ben Morley. Pick of the rest was Vinnie Ford who got a very warm reception, and Richings who battled well. They all met in heat 14 and Starke just gated and rode away from any threat.

No idea where Cook is on Friday. But with Barker guesting for Boughen we have no chance and will do well to get to 40 points. Fancy our chances better on Saturday at Workington.

Surely with the meeting being such a success,it wouldn't unreasonable to expect Poole to do More meetings to help young British talent instead of 1 token meeting a season could easily run a nl team and have few more matches at home.
