Don’t think he was sacked team manager came and asked if he was ok after his second ride as he was over half a lap behind and really struggling his dad wanted to pull him from the meeting as his head was not in the right place so they had to replace him in his 3rd ride and had to ride one race with 3 riders he now gets a 28 day ban for withholding his services, he has been struggling with confidence all season and struggling to ave over 3 Glasgow can’t afford his ave to drop if they want a winning team shame as the boy has lots of talent just needs to get his head straight

Another Craig Cook unfortunately

Lynn approached Harrison and Jody Scott for the RS birth and both declined it as they want a full season in champ first apparently. Which i like that attitude very much. Alsways walk before you run.

so your best hope now is Sam hagon or wait to see what we do when cairns becomes 16. You either take cairns or take Mulford after we get cairns in

More likely he will be at Leicester if Gilkes is confirmed as ruled out for season as Will has admitted he has overcome some of his negative thoughts about the Leicester track if BV decide not to use him

He will definitely go somewhere. He wants the rising star spot. If we want him he will be with us 100%. If we don’t then yeah. Suppose Leicester will be his first choice. Forgot about Joe Thompson. Only being temp

The bigger question is do we put far too much pressure on our young riders
a sensational debut season in the NDL doesn’t necessarily equate to a international career.
Drew kemp for example was dynamite for mildenhall.  Got called up in the championship for Ipswich and scored 14 at Scunthorpe on his debut and everybody’s expectations sky rocketed.
big moves to big clubs with big pressure didn’t work particularly well but now he is settled and allowed to progress at his own pace he has blossomed.
Ashton was fast tracked to team GB and maybe that was too early ?
I just hope will cairns and cooper rushton are allowed to progress in their own time without the pressure.

Ignoring any pressure put on young riders, if there is any, these riders also need to be sensible about how long to stay in the NL/NT or when to move up to Champ / Prem.

Would Boughen have faired better of he stayed in the NL for another season & didn't become a RS as a 16 year old? Honed his skills more at a power level?

I'm a bit surprised so many seem to think Cairns will be Belle Vue's RS as soon as he reaches 16, yes he's a very promising rider, but surely not better than Mulford just yet?

Even pre-season most weren't saying, Cairns may get a chance if Mulford doesn't improve, more like Cairns will get the RS spot on his birthday.

William isn’t beating all before him in the NL so to think he can slot in at RS and do better than Jake is an incorrect assumption imo. You have to invest a lot into an RS from a time, advice and machinery point of view and allow them to step away if needed, as we did with Connor.

The Aces have yet to drop an RS since the scheme started a few years ago and I’d be very surprised if we dropped Jake.

Think you’ll find Jake Mulford was actually dropped previously for Conor Bailey…

You say that, nothing confirmed and still listed in team to ride against Ipswich tomorrow as of today.

I'd be surprised if he gets a 28 day ban

He missed one ride having said he didn't feel fit to ride

The medic refused to sign him off but how many are qualified to give a mental health assessment as opposed to the physical assessment you expected them to deal with (genuinely do not know)

I'm actually surprised he wasn't allowed to withdraw. Surely you listen to the patient and give the benefit of doubt (if there was any)

Perhaps he should've just gone to tapes and simply pulled up as soon as theyweere released.....

So he is unfit Friday but fit Monday?

He is obviously struggling with the mental side at this stage in his career. Maybe he should take some time out but it seems as far as Kings Lynn are concerned he is riding tomorrow.

Lynn are woefully slow in getting previews and information out at the best of times. I know the Ipswich admin has been left frustrated many times in recent seasons waiting for declarations from Lynn so the Ipswich admin could get the meeting previews up. Wouldn’t bet against them already knowing he’ll not ride tomorrow if he is intent on not riding. We’ll probably find out at some point tomorrow.

There is a meeting preview dated today on Kings Lynn website so I would have thought he had told them he is riding.
