Steve Irving Posted yesterday at 05:42 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 05:42 AM Well if Belle Vue were thinking of making a change at reserve then that is now over. You wouldn’t swap Tate for another three pointer and the team total is over the limit, so any change would have to be like for like. They’re going to need some big improvement from him if Belle Vue are to have even a small chance this year because reserve is currently a huge issue for them. He’s simply going to have to improve by some margin if Belle Vue are to challenge. The only club that has a weaker number 6 right now is Birmingham with Hume, but that will change once/if Zagar comes back in. Some will be pinning their hopes on a rising star switch when Cairns becomes available this summer, but if people think he’s going to come in and be the saviour at reserve then they may well be disappointed. Yes, big talent, but very little experience and there’s some established rising stars in the teams already and he won’t find it easy. Actually incorrect, team total is now 39.18 so 0.82 under the limit.

I agree Zischke isn’t going to get replaced now on that average (unless the went for Gusts in future) but I think he is going to improve. Nos he getting regular meetings for Workington and riding in Poland each Tuesday. I do think he equipment is bit slow round NSS which is shown as gating his poor. Regarding Cairns, if that happens, yes he won’t have much experience but at Sheffield on Thursday his time winning heat 1 in the NL meeting was half a second faster then the winning time for heat 2 in Premiership meeting

It was 40.75 with Zischke on 4.57. Take 1.57 off means 39.

Yes he looked like he had the speed, his gating needs a bit of work though.
ouch Posted yesterday at 03:08 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 03:08 PM I’d stick by him and help nurture him back to the form we know is there. Even with his current form The Aces will make the play offs and they are 17 weeks or 40-50 meetings away for Tate. When Dan came back from his big smash he scored only 3 points in his first three away meetings before slowly picking up as the season progressed. He’s blatantly better than what he’s been showing so far and there’s plenty of time for him to ride himself in to form.
