I sometimes wonder how Ole Olsen ever used to manage? You'd get the odd glimpse of him in his tractor or talking to the ref and that was that. If you don't get Morris prancing about or unnecessarily sprinting somewhere, you've not seen a GP.

Look back on his career and how he has come back from adversity to be one of the GBs top riders and I am convinced that he will claim that championship one day. Thanks to all the GP riders who made this year’s competition what it became and on to 2026. Now just the domestic championships to be resolved and the SON. Needs to gate more consistently, but time is on his side.

Have they not always done this since the SGP started? If it wasn't Morris, then it'd just be somebody else doing exactly the same role. He won 5 rounds to Bartoz 3. I don't think you can really. put it down to a snapped chain. If it was a one off final like back in the day, then yes you have a case. But over ten rounds imo I don't think so. Even without the chain issue, he only just scraped into the lcq as the lowest scorer that night in Prague. You could also say Kurtz had three rounds on his home track. Plus a former home track in Sweden. Kurtz has definitely taken it to another level this season and Bartoz had to ride out of his skin, just to hang on to his coat tails. I personally think the scoring system and the sprint race are all wrong. How many times have we seen riders miss out on a direct passage to the final like Lebedevs tonight, after scoring good pts in their five programmed rides. That doesn't take anything away what Kurtz has achieved. "Five GP wins". That is a record what might be not be broken. I think he will start favourite for next years series. So all in all it has been a fantastic debut season for him. It's just he has come against a very special rider.
