topaz325
The Workington Comets season gets underway this Saturday afternoon at the GT Tyres Arena when the team face Scunthorpe . The Scunthorpe side sees the return of former Comets Simon Lambert and Luke Harrison and should provide some tough opposition . The Comets are lacking track time with some riders yet to race competitively so will be eager to get a slide on in anger.
Fozzie4388
Luke Harrison won't be riding he's in Slovakia this weekend for the European U19s Championship qualifier

Neila
Looking forward to this and Redcar on Friday, as I've got withdrawal symptoms of having no live speedway to watch 😄
SteelShoe
Yeah it's about time we had some Speedway to watch, into May already and not had a meeting . Hope we can get something from the weekend. Friday a tough start at Redcar, the Bears track was very dry last Friday with lot of dust on the back straight, nothing much grip wise out wide for riders to use so gating was vitally important. Hope their is a bit more moisture in the track this Friday.

Most Comets are lacking track time as you say...which is rather worrying regarding this weekend. But perhaps more scary is seeing the two who are regular racers for Belle Vue and the Brummies are not scoring well at all. Perhaps the top league is not really a good comparator but low scores prevail.

Jye had a guest booking at Berwick last week and did quite well

IainB
I do like all these young Aussies riding in our leagues this year, if they can manage to stick around Australia's future looks quite bright.
fairplay1
Very surprised that Simon Lambert took all his rides with a free scoreing Declan Kennedy only having 6 rides rather than his permitted 7 unless I dont know the rules and you never know what is going on in the pits.. OldtimerRay
Can’t believe that Simon Lambert gets full quota of rides + R/R when there are 2 good reserves to take his place. 3

Mr Blobby
Now that the comets have had a couple of meetings we might get a reply now as to when they fancy running the KO match, seeing we’ve been waiting on a response since it was originally called off.
