ouch
Gate’n’go tracks alway tough for the Aces. Only 10 from 5 from Brady’s rides (15+1 & unbeaten in last seasons meetings) was too much for The Aces to cover especially with the problems at reserve. Best result for speedway as a whole as Brummies needed a win in front of home fans and The Aces don’t need to win any more away meetings as their play off spot is a certainty. I always thought it was considered “bad form” to sucker a rider into the tapes but I’ve seen it a few times this season - is it ok now? Spot on Rob, track was terrible...there was one "break" where they carried out track work and low and behold the very next race the track was even worse and a dust bowl. One thing to note from last night, someone somewhere is losing money hand over fist.

Brady was a miss but both teams were missing a top rider so even things up. I dont think you always struggle at gate and go tracks! So all your riders cant gate! Very rare for Bewley to break the tapes, he should not get suckered in as you put it.

I don’t think anyone was suckered in. Starting is an essential part of Speedway as we know and so much concentration goes in to watching that little release trigger to get away the quickest. Any slight movement anywhere would cause a rider to drop the clutch. I don’t believe anyone deliberately moves to get another rider excluded either. As I said, so much concentration goes in to watching the tapes that you’re bound to get the jitters from time to time and drop the clutch too early.
PhilTheAce
tough loss to take that but congratulations to brum, best team on the night won. we know where our problems lie and we left it to late to do anything about it unless we sign gusts

Pitch
Well done to the Brummies, get a decent replacement for MJJ and they could finish above Kings Lynn and Oxford this season. Which would be nice for them considering everything.

They beat a strong Belle Vue team last year [also 47-43 after a last heat 5-1] and replaced their no 1 in that match (Milik) with Freddie Lindgren and still came bottom by a country mile. Both didn't just go. One went due to the other moving first, yet the first too move gets away with it. Rule change is needed.

Unless they remove the Reg, and allow movement at the start, then there's nothing else that can be done. Musielak received a warning for moving, but it wasn't his fault that's Bewley touch the tapes - it was Bewley's error, and he was excluded.

They would not care if it happened to a Brummies rider. 1
