If Edwards isn't fit, how about Mitchell McDiarmid as a guest? Rode well for Oxford at Poole!

He seems a good rider so may be worth a go but is he as good as Edwards? They will need a guest though a rider replacement leaves them very weak and there do seem to be a few options.

He must have impressed with his 3 points in the junior meeting at Poole last week. No idea why Jody Scott isn’t riding.

Was looking forward to this meeting, not so much now. With a full team I felt we could push Poole close, much more difficult if we are short handed.

Maybe if he's at school or college, he has an exam

Both Kerr and Rowe have looked slow for the last few weeks for Sheffield, with Kerr especially having some rough sounding machinery and have seen Poole fans not too impressed with some of his efforts to date.  Problem is both Rowe and Kerr’s places in both Sheffield and Poole teams aren’t under threat as there’s no riders wanting to come over, can safely say whilst wearing Sheffield kevlars Kerr gone through the motions on more than one occasion this season.  Hopefully Poole fans get to see them both back riding to their best ability and packing some big scores in for the Pirates

To be fair, Anders Rowe has been going very well for Poole this season

Jason Edwards just posted that it’s likely a fractured scapula so would assume he’s out for quite a while.

Massive blow to Jason and the Bears.

Very unfortunate and a rider I like very much. Comes across as articulate and a very nice chap. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Who can take his rides if r/r?

Riss, Mulford & the reserves. Might get away with that at home with Scott riding but won’t away.

In that case, a straight forward home win on the cards.

Yeah the Bears will need an able replacement for Edwards if they are to challenge for a win you’d think tomorrow night, although you would say if they use R/R at 2. Riss in heat 8 would be a clear favourite for the 3 points meaning the other 3 rides from Mulford and the reserves would all be against Thompson and Lawson.
personally I’d say it would be unlikely to get the 5-7 points you would say Edwards could achieve

Whoever guests, may not be as good as Edwards, they just have to pick who they think is the best available.

Like someone else suggested, r/r could work at home, but less successful away.

I'd leave r/r at 3, Riss at 4, King at 5, Riss takes a r/r outing in heat 12.

Meetings will end up with:

Ht 12 Riss

Ht 13 Wright & King

Ht 14 Riss

Ht 15 Wright / King / Riss

But with the 5% uplift there are better guest options at home [notably Zac Cook]
