IMO Doyle is in a "cleft stick" situation needs time to heal but he's in danger of dropping out of the GP's and trying to honour his commitments to his   paymasters in Poland  .

IMO Doyle needs to look carefully at his future in speedway. He's has a good crack athe GP's ... at the veteran stage now for a speedway rider. Does he really still think he can win the SGP ?  Mr N Pedersen showed that you can carry on for one season too many and hurt yourself.

2 years ago, he was falling down the rankings, but last year was challenging for the title till he got injured. So can understand him thinking "what can I do with an injury free season" of course we'll never know now.

If he can get fully fit & have a good last couple of rounds, may feel he's good enough to challenge for the podium / title again next year.

He didn’t ride for the rest of the world, he was missing that due to injury he sustained on the return from injury at his Polish club Częstochowa the week before which the biggest mistake of them all. You can’t possible get over his injury within a week.

Ta for the correction, I remember thinking why return for the International "friendly" but he got injured again before that.

I remember him saying he rode because he didn't feel any pain, but I wonder if he considered "what happens if I fall again"?

Obviously riders could crash on any meeting, but if it happens when you've not fully recovered you can keep putting yourself out for longer. I guess Doyle doesn't think about that? Tbh not many riders do.

Would be more about whether WBD Sports would offer him a Wild Card spot - only three this year. The winner of the SEC and Top 4 from the SGP Challenge. Plus the top 7 in the Standings !!

Doyle being 30 points off the top 7 cant see it happening. Shame because he has been plagued with injuries over the last couple of seasons but perhaps he will be able to keep earning top zloty in Poland and whether he chooses to continue to ride in the what will be a different UK league.

And don't forget the 3 other Aussies now doing well in the series

Doyle himself admitted it was winning a GP before his injury last year  got him a w/card this year !

I think that the end of Jason's GP days are now fast approaching...

Seems to be on the Nicki P glide path...

So much determination and will to win, but getting caught up in "unlucky" situations...

Situations that they never got caught up in...

A proper asset to the GP series, but maybe a year out, and a year where he doesn't pick up any injuries, will help his GP longevity, similar to how Freddie has extended his career...

One of those who genuinely puts "bums on seats" is Jason, so hopefully he takes his time, and can come back stronger....

Think he would be better concentrating on his league career ,if careful he may get another five years there .

There's a rumour going around, that Hawkins has been given his own parking space at the AFA..
