King’s Lynn Stars vs Ipswich Witches - Premiership R2 Monday 14th July

Recommended Posts

The win was not gifted King’s Lynn deserved it

Set the track up to suit the gaters Lawson Klindt and Kvech and sacrifice Harris a bit….

Lynn trapped to the first corner and race was over … that’s what home track advantage is all about you set the track up for your riders nothing wrong with that and Ipswich had no answers to the starting of Lynn

I fully expect the cup match to be tough but we should win … r/r for Iversen and Kerr for Cook means Lynn are strengthened …. Kvech will have 6 rides and Klindt 7 and if these 2 are trapping could be difficult

The crowd will be good anyway. No way was that win gifted. Hawkins wouldn't pi%% on the AFA if it was on fire.

More likely to be the one with the fuel can and matches :D

Could Hawkins have gifted the win to KL last night to set up a bumper crowd for Thursdays meeting ?

Will make little difference to Ippo's p off qualification ... but boost the crowd at the Foxhole  ?

If he had the brain power... which I doubt.

Talking of a bumper crowd is there any regular 'stars' fan able to guesstimate last nights attendance - I notice the start was delayed to allow the big queue in.

It had crossed my mind that the Witches gave Chapman the dramatic comeback victory to boost his own chances of bigger crowds for the remaining fixtures at Compost Corner ... there's nothing wrong with helping the noisy neighbours occasionally.

Absolutely nothing to do with the track not suiting Harris.

Had terrible bike problems all night and burnt out 2 clutches.

Definitely wasn’t as big compared to the last 2 times Ipswich visited. I’d say no more than 1500

People probably can't be bothered to travel when the meeting goes over 2 hours and people have to drive another 1.5 / 2hrs home.

I am disappointed that we have a Derby Day semi-final match tomorrow and anywhere you go in the town you wouldn't have a clue. I just don't understand why flyers and posters can't be displayed. They rely on word of mouth or the same people coming back but no new customers, it's ridiculous really. Anyone who lives in Ipswich would know what I mean when I say the advertising of 'Festival of Wheels' is all over the place, why can't speedway even do 25% of that advertising. So lazy.

I can remember going down to Ippo not so long ago for a lynn derby that pulled in over 5k, no days anything scraping over a thousand people is considered bumper.

If the racing was generally better than 90% of the usual gate and go, and teams actually got on with it and finished the matches in 1.5 hours I’m pretty sure the crowd levels would go up.

That’s probably why Buster gets less than 500 most of the time.

Maybe less than 500 for the Young Stars but definitely not for main team. Around 800-1000 consistently

If Chapman and Allitt had not supported AEPG then there would be more attend KL, but with Chapmans outrageous speech on the microphone at the showground genuine supporters turned there back on him.
