New owners maybe.
But rules say two years before they can directly promote. So the question is who would the promoters be.

Are the rules not as follows?  They can promote the team with the guidance of an experienced BSPA member but they cannot vote on anything for two years but must pay there membership fee / bond as others do. I assume the guidance is to help them along and point them in the right direction (ie do as there told and follow the instructions and rules of fellow promoters)

Good luck if someone is taking it on I wish them all the best but as most on here have said its a massive financial risk even more so if going directly into the Premiership I hope whoever it is either has massive sponsorship lined up and uber deep pockets as I fear they will need them both.

Arry’s got a pis*pot full of ready’s So no fear there.

Yes, basically to show them how to run an unviable business, how to not promote said sport and basically carry on running the sport into the ground, then to tell them any new ideas are not welcome, when the new promoter will realise it's a load of cobblers and walk away in much the same way most new promoters have done for the last 20 or so seasons, if anyone knows any different then please come on here and tell all.

Hey lads welcome we'll give you no help whatsoever in building a competitive team but Oxford and Birmingham aren't running this year!

Good luck!

The rest

Are you sure Oxford aren't running in the top league in 2026? Spires, no... but Cheetahs?

Here is an out there scenario, think of Ryan Reynolds taking over Wrexham football Club and having it filmed and a documentary made by Netflix. Harry redknapp taking over a speedway club  (Northampton) and having it filmed for a documentary series on Netflix bringing in much needed revenue and exposure for the sport, a bit too out there ??

Surely this is something Phil Morris should be encouraging ?, instead he now seems to be a part of the BSPL and that in itself means being stuck in the same old same old, Phil himself is now part of the problem and not a new broom bringing in new ideas.

Genius idea. Go one better and make another series of that Harry's Heroes. Get Loram, Floppy Norris, Dean Barker out of retirement for one last rodeo.

They'd need someone to hang it on from the sport itself

Tai perhaps?

If anyone is planning to take Northampton into the Prem, they must know the Prem needs them more than they need top tier racing. Should be in a strong position to dictate that heat leaders get shared out etc.

Could say the same for Oxford, if they'll only be left with Birmingham's riders, stick to Champ racing?
