Edinburgh v Plymouth Championship Friday 18th July 7.30pm

Recommended Posts

Plymouth fans were brilliant tonight, Klindt and Nicholls certainly gave them something to cheer about.

Good win for the Monarchs, there is more to come from this team.

Not even close to ‘first corner bunching’ so there’s no way all four back was an option. Bowtell was out of control hence Loftus running into him. Correct decision.

Loftus bike was taking HIM round most of the night, lucky only too come off once.Bowtell didn’t do much wrong .IMO

Are they the Bar Bandits?

Yes, 18 members of the Bar Bandits left either at 6am Thursday or early yesterday morning for the 2025 Northern Tour. There was also a few other hardy souls who follow the Gladiators far and wide in attendance too 👏🏼👏🏼

Bar Bandits Had hospitality at Edinburgh and were made to feel very welcome by the club. Unfortunately Berwick today is off and they’re now assembling for the long trip home, hopefully be home before 7pm!

We are on duty again at another club who always extend warm hospitality to us in Oxford on Wednesday evening. Minibus is full along with a car heading to Sandy Lane to get behind Garry and the team once again!

Massive thank you to Edinburgh speedway for being so accommodating to the Gladiators supporters. Bandits had a great night and hopefully put a smile on one or two faces! All being well, see you all in 2026 at Armadale 💙💛

Nichols swapped bikes after 2nd ride. Loftus had to change bikes after clash with Alfie, (could have gone either way). Loftus went out on 2nd bike after some set up changes and looked much quicker.

What did Scotty say about the track when interviewed after heat 15?

What did Polis say about the track in the  Evening news?

Maybe the track has some flaws the same as all other tracks.

I agree Bowtell did not do much wrong and he was in front, Loftus just rode in to him. Awful decision.

Polis complained about the size and shape of the track because he hadn’t ridden anything like it since his younger days.

The majority of home and away riders have praised the track at Armadale this season. Gordon Campbell puts in a lot of hours and does a great job of preparing it every week.

Bowtell locked up and Jordy had no where to go, that was nothing to do with the track. I do think all 4 would have been reasonable though.

Good result and one that was much needed. Thankfully built up a bit of a lead before Scotty blew off the cobwebs.

Good to see a good away crowd, Hope they all had a great time in hospitality and definitely get your value for money with it imo. Credit to their club.
