Come on man he’s just turned 16 give him a break.

Yes just turned 16 but signed for Poole who expected him to score points, imo the young kid is doing too much too soon, Poole and guest bookings in the UK Poland under 24 and Sweden, and NDL just look what happened to the last young hope Aston boughen who has disappeared after burning out doing too much

Where have Poole said they expect him to score points?

Another problem is we love to hype up young riders who have a bit of promise and expect them to instantly be a woffy of a Lambert.

What’s the point of signing a rider if you don’t expect him to score points lol

Yes we are signing Cairns and we are really happy if he only scores 1 or 2 each week lol

Pooles reserves could ultimately cost them the league

Shame Oxford are weakened tonight they could have sneaked this otherwise

Good to see Kerr doing more than his job tonight

Poole must expect him to score points, you don't sign a rider 6 months in advance unless you think he's going to be a "superstar". They also signed two temporary 2.00 riders till he was old enough, you don't do that unless you think Cairns is the best 2 pointer around (he could still be).

You also can't blame fans for having high expectations for the very same reasons above.

As for tonight, Oxford have strong reserves, so Cairns isn't performing badly, just riding like a 16 year old in his first season against a solid team.

His average is 2 and has scored that tonight done his job! Neila post obviously meant Poole were hoping he would score 7/8/9 every meeting.

Peter with another managerial master class this evening, not using Gusts in heat 12.

Never seen anyone so clueless when it comes to managing a side.

Unbelievable not using Gusts more before heat 15.
