Pretty stiff breeze this morning from the south west although it is due lessen into the evening. The back straight is more sheltered with the wind from this direction as there are pine trees surrounding . Any dust will affect starting gate side, any early evening sunshine will mainly be on this side also as well as bends 1&2.

I was reading that there will be a fly by along the coast by the Red Arrows who will be on their way from Blackpool to Edinburgh Tattoo around 6-30pm which will be better seen from starting gate side. Don't blame me if they don't materialise though 🤣, hope its a great meeting .

Not many  tracks arrange red arrows fly by :D

Very good meeting today. Batchelor disappointing but I suppose he came through when it mattered. Tate just can't seem to get going at the moment. He's a shadow of his former self.

However, I do think the track has been somewhat disappointing of late. There is good racing at times but not a lot of passing.

Definitely hasn't been as much dirt on this season compared to last, presumably at the request of the riders, and what there is is quite dry on days like today despite the watering which makes good gating paramount.

He looked very good last night at Ashfield.

Nice to see, presumably the club must've requested a quick detour for a mini-flypast as the smoke was switched on for the short time over the stadium.

The red arrows route has been known for a couple of days, probably as they flew over Workington as well as the stadium the smoke was put on for all to see, but it was good to see directly over the stadium

Apparently Batch blew an engine before heat 15 at Glasgow friday night. I heard his second engine wasn't as strong so he was using an engine borrowed from Hooky against the Cheetahs. He seemed to find a better setup for heat 13 after which I half expected to see him with Antti in 15. Jye was deserving of 15 though after a strong performance.

How many riders have borrowed Hooky's engine this season, is it like the R/R tyre that gets passed around the team?

Tate seems to be going better away than at home, Vuolas the opposite.

One match fans will comment Annti needs to do better, the next night it'll be Tate needs to do better.

And both can be true. I had a look at the scores in the back of the program yesterday and tates scores have been poor. Vuolas has put some brilliant scores together at home and the odd away but still struggles on some tracks. I sense the Oxford meeting will be a shocker for vuolas.

Yeh i also heard this. Confusing though because the program yesterday stated he wasn't happy with his first bike a couple meetings ago and switched to his second. Why didn't he use his second instead of borrowing one.
