I often sit in the bend 1 stand and the dust can be bad with even a slight South or south westerly breeze. Whenever that is the case I stand on turns 3 & 4 now.

First visit down to new Worky and really enjoyed it, great wee set up and clearly a lot of love and hard work has gone into it, congratulations.

The dust was the worst I have encountered since the days of Newport but once I got myself to the 3rd bend all was good.

I thought the racing was excellent, no idea what some of the maniacs on here are moaning about.

Well done Worky, bad day at the office for our boys, it happens!

We’re getting battered here, so I’m conscious this may come across bitter, but you can’t hide from reality.

Stene Pijper, God love him, should not be in this meeting. He’s nowhere near it.

They dont need to mention the club anymore then they are allowed to! This track is the blueprint of speedway whether it needs watered or not.

First trip to Workington’s new home, great venue, really impressed its definitely got room for growth. 
As for today’s racing it was really hampered by an ultra slick powdery surface which the water just couldn’t adhere to and soak in so was simply back to being dry and dusty in minutes.  The inside line was the place to be for the vast majority of races.  Impressive performances from Fraser Bowes and Anti Voulas, with good back up from Jye Etheridge and Jacob Hook. As for Glasgow the just couldn’t get out of the gate, Kyle Howarth was always there or thereabouts in his 5 races resulting in winning ht15 and spoiling the two home riders maximum hopes.

It'll have been said before but sure this venue would benefit from floodlights and have evening meetings under lights where the moisture will start coming up naturally rather than battling with the heat and wind during  the afternoon meetings, but it’s a track I’ll come back to again

Great win for Workington. Honestly didn’t see that coming after watching them at Armadale and Northside last weekend. Hugely grateful to the Glasgow fans for stepping up as the guardians of ‘good racing’ again.

Shame I never saw you yesterday,  haven't seen you since the Derwent Park days . 

Look yesterday was one of those days , it happens,  Workington were better than us on the day . We still have much to look forward to , beat Edinburgh on Friday and we finish top . But we need to gate much better on Wednesday to have any chance of overcoming Poole in the KO Cup .

Yeah, its been a long time Paul! Hopefully catch up next season 🤞 I was lucky enough to be in hospitality yesterday so avoided the dust on 1 & 2 😬 Got to watch hts 12 & 13 from the centre green, great battle between Dan and Tate 👍

Absolutely  it's not acceptable,  any newcomers on 1st 2nd bend  would have been covered. shower reqd when getting home. Crowds look to have increased but once you've got them in you want them to return, hence its imperative that they look for solutions to eliminate dust as much as possible. Not many tracks where you are elevated and looking down on the racing and when the winds blowing you get covered.

He's only 'in charge' of the Premiership - primarily for the TV contract!

I did comment on Kings Lynn so Premiership related. Morris has done pretty much zero as far as I can see to help with anything.

One of the solutions was 6pm starts, had to move this one to 3pm die to medical cover.

If the Lynn track is doctored then they've certainly made a rubbish job of it since we last made the Play Offs in 2018.

As has been pointed out a zillion times the surface is unique and very high in clay because of the stocks (which keep the stadium amd speedway going)

Most importantly its smooth and without bumps or holes and has enough dirt for everyone to race on it. Its far from the best track out there nowadays during to the material but everyone can try to pass with confidence as its consistent and safe.

Just reacting to Saddlebow Road who was saying he would rather have a fairer racetrack. I agree your track is usually smooth and it has been mentioned many times about the material used. Harris has moaned that it is gate and go which doesnt suit him but most tracks are prepared to suit certain riders. 

I do think it is used as an excuse when certains riders underperform though but in fairness some Glasgow fans are happy to admit they were just beaten by the better team.

I dont think your failure to make the play offs in recent years is related to how the track is prepared though!
