Leicester v Sheffield POSF 2nd leg Monday 22nd September Live on TV

Recommended Posts

The biggest confidence boost I had from sheffield was the fact that our 1 & 5 beat there 1 & 5 at Sheffield! Which to me means Leicester already have two potential heat advantages lined up for heats 13 and 15. Sheffield of course can still go to Leicester and win but to be honest it's a big ask with Fricke, Masters and Douglas all riding Leicester brilliantly this year and Becker surely can't have a worse night than he did last meeting..

Yes, the Lions have lost twice at home this season, as have the mighty Ipswich. Janowski is probably the best choice from riders available to replace Morris, but he isn’t the rider he was, which is why his average fits to cover Morris. Yes, anything can happen in the playoffs, but the Lions will be bitterly disappointed if they do not progress after Thursday’s Houdini act in Sheffield. Really hoping for a Lions v Witches final but if the Lions don’t get over the line, I will not have a problem with Ipswich taking the honours (despite what some people might think 😉).

Personally think this will be easy for Leicester, Max will go through the card, he doesnt need to gate to win races at Leicester, Magic is a good guest although Morris used to be excellent at Beaumont Park, Magic has some great battles with Doyley way back but he isnt that rider anymore. Masters and Douglas and to a lesser degree Howarth are good too so just dont see it being close.

Where will 'Howarth's' heart lie? 😀

Well he tried his best at Sheffield including getting Rowe excluded in heat 14 so I dont think you can question his committment. If Leicester blow this now it will be a massive shock, they could do with Becker scoring a few to make it easier and Joe T riding better would help, Rowe goes well at Leicester usually so that will help Sheffield but overall I cant see how it will be close.

This should be a very comfortable aggregate victory for Leicester but its Play Off speedway so you never know.

An Ippo v Leic final has the potential to be very close indeed.

Will you be keeping your curtains closed for this one? 😁

If reports he got booed at Sheffield are correct think he wont need much firing up 😉 Sheffield are capable of springing a good result away as we have seen this season a couple of times, But with Fricke who has been brilliant this season, Masters and Douglas also going well its a difficult task, Hopefully Becker picks up his form for the Lions, that was my one doubt with the Lions as R/R worked so well. Having said all that im going for a comfortable home win.

Looking forward to this, Leicester must feel this is theirs to lose but if Sheffield open with a 5-1 or two then its anyones! Afterall Sheffield had a very hadny leg after 4-5 races and it all was gradually chipped away at!

Leicester to dish out a good old tonking.

The real challenge will be for Tatum, Nicholls and Abbie to sustain the attention of the TV audience

I can take away one of the challenges. That Abbie needs to come back to mine.
