"The boy Bartosz is a top, top rider" “You will never get a better chance to win a race than heat 2 at Belle Vue. My missus could have won that one.”

R87
On 9/15/2025 at 4:51 PM, IainB said: SPEEDWAY FUTURES LINK WITH HARRY Monday, September 15, 2025 PREMIERSHIP CEO Phil Morris says the appointment of legendary football manager Harry Redknapp to the Speedway Futures Management team marks a major step forward in efforts to raise the sport’s commercial and media profile. Redknapp, 78, enjoyed a stellar career as player and manager, making over 100 appearances for both West Ham and Bournemouth. He then had extensive spells in charge of both clubs before going on to great success as manager at Portsmouth and Tottenham. Away from the game, Redknapp’s public popularity was confirmed when he won the 2018 series of ITV reality show ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ Speedway Futures Ltd was set up in 2024 and became the commercial and media rights holders of British Speedway, with the specific objective of attracting long term commercial investment to develop the sport in the UK. Morris said: “There’s been extensive work over the last year or so, firstly in terms of bringing together a team of people with experienced commercial backgrounds, and expertise in media, which can help us develop the sport. “Obviously the aim is to bring additional investment into British Speedway, and we have been talking to major multinational sports investment groups about potential future involvement in speedway in the UK. “Speedway Futures are the new media and commercial rights holders for British Speedway, and we do have various potential deals in discussion which we believe can make a real difference to the sport “As far as Harry is concerned, it’s marvellous news, and it comes from a direct connection with a member of the Speedway Futures team who approached him about getting involved. “He will be joining the Speedway Futures Management team, which is great news. He will be focussing on leveraging his commercial and media contacts for the benefit of British Speedway and also actively raising the sport’s profile through all his connections. “He has over 1.4 million followers on social media, and that automatically creates a new audience and gives us the opportunity to reach out to groups who we wouldn’t otherwise be able to target. “To bring in someone with such a general reach and appeal as Harry can only help us to increase overall interest and hopefully bring in significant investment.” First thing he can suggest is that we get people back into stadiums by ditching the loathsome BSN. Why do we have to have streaming that gives fans a perfect excuse to not bother? Get rid of it. Its rubbish 1 1 1

If I was a promoter I would opt out of the BSN streaming, in the last few weeks there has been four sometimes five presenters/comentators at a meeting. I'm sure they are not doing it for there health. Discovery have a team of four and maybe five times the budget, so two would be a enough. From a fans point it is good value but having less presenters would mean money going to the clubs, which is what is needed. Smacks of jobs for the boys taking money out of the sport, a bit like this Speedway Futures Ltd will do.
JamesHarris
Redknapp won't be doing this for free that's for sure. The guy is more slippery than a jellied eel. I've read some shizzle in my time and this has to be up there. If he was such a big speedway fan he would have mentioned it a long time ago. The majority of the 1.4 million followers he has on social media are probably more interested in Sandra's jam rolly polly than speedway. I'll give him credit though, he does have a very good publicity team around him and an even better accountant. Secondly BSPN becomes Speedway Futures Ltd. Nothing at all to do with tax is it! Perhaps they should invite Angela Reyner onto the board. She's got plenty of time on her hands now.

As Speedway Futures has been formed to establish additional income for UK speedway they need to achieve that objective before receiving a return for their efforts. Not sure who BSPN are, if you mean BSN unless I’m mistaken they are independent of BSPA being owned by Exstream Media Ltd.
