But they way they have decided it is probably fair enough , good luck to Redcar in the final and I'm glad everyone injured are now back home . Having a 3 team tournament would have been the fairest way (the way the Jubilee trophy was done a few years ago).
Colsimmo58
Glad to hear all involved are ok,and on the mend. Rules are Rules,i dont think i have come across this one before,But surely this must inspire Tigers to go on and win the League,But whats the betting Poole match will be called off, so they have the second leg at Home. Equally good news for BSN subscribers, feels like it's ages since Redcar v Poole has been on. is it on BSN though. This Competition has not been so far. szkocjasid
One suggestion would be to look at the scores after heat 14 in both matches, i.e Glasgow having an advantage of an extra heat at home. This would've been an aggregate win for Redcar. The bizarre situation is, had the heat advantages been a tie, it would've been a ballot to decide who goes through, I can't think of a more unsatisfactory way to decide a tie. Don’t need any suggestions, the rules were there.
Gazc
Good luck to Redcar in the Final you probably deserve something out of this season to add to the pairs.

And it also means fans having to pay out a fair few quid in the same month... Workington suffered from this when they won the treble, with fans not attending each meeting... Having all the finals at the end of the season also gives no time to build crowd momentum on the back of any success, as the season just stops... Advertising yourself as (insert Competition name here), "Champions/Holders" can only spark interest locally in your next home meeting, and onwards through the rest of the season, I would have thought... I think completing the league first then the cups is the way to go, as advertising your self as "The Champions" for as many meetings as possible can only help crowd levels... And it also gives clubs well out of league contention early in the season a chance to still have meaningful matches until the end of the season, rather than "dead rubbers" which have no impact on play off positions... Noelinho
You could of course have two home, two away, and drop a competition (or maybe two 😱) and then have less disparity in the number of home meetings for each side. Rather than Berwick having 11 and Glasgow/Poole having something like 18, maybe everyone would have closer to 16. That would make a lot more sense. It's not like we get many shock winners of all the cups, sometimes we can't even be bothered to arrange the finals because it seems teams get bored of winning...
