You've basically answered your questions within your first 2 paragraphs.

Hook has improved every year...as a reserve.

Fair enough, he isn't a 4pt 1-5 rider who averaged 5.5 at reserve, but equally, how do you know he isn't going to be a 5.5 reserve who averages 4 in the 1-5? A large % of his points came in heat 2s last season, he wouldn't get that opportunity next season.

Someone like Luke Harrison is chalk and cheese given he was an 18yo with a single season of Championship racing. Hook is 23 and the question is still being asked if he can manage riding in the top 5. Even Jye Etheridge improved quicker than Hook.

Maybe I'm thinking as Hook has improved each season at reserve, next year he'd be a 6.5 reserve, would that then translate to a 5 point second string?

When I consider which clubs he could join, I must admit I did think to myself "will he average that in the top 5"? So maybe there's a part of me that dislikes the speedway rules that mean improving riders get dropped, while struggling riders get retained, so I'm letting my heart rule my head? Maybe I'm a little biased as I've chatted to him & thought he was a nice!

0.02 over 40 if Andersen is a 5 pointer but he could be a 6 pointer not 100% sure.

Not that it would matter anyway no chance of him riding for a Saturday club with his polish commitments anyway.

Jeppersen

Grathn

Mikkel Andersen

Zischke

Batchelor

Foord

Harrison

Thats my team I am going for any thoughts?

If it was just over 40, Vuolas instead of Batchelor, so it fits?

But can't see Andersen signing, unfortunately for British Speedway.

Would be a brilliant team though!

Batch seems to like Worky all the nay sayers have been proved wrong he has performed and behaved like the pro he is is. Now who is next? will it be a good heat leader or strong second strings.

Not sure Vuolas is who is needed would like to see a much more steady performer home and away

Welcome back Troy happy to have him back in our team, experience on and off the track!

Decent 3rd heat leader at best I question his desire he had a poor season last year if the other heat leader is Voulas I fear for Workington I really do. Going to be big pressure on Jeppersen to deliver.

His disgraceful performance at Scunthorpe in May was the complete opposite of being a pro!!!

Batch will be just fine now he’s got that number 1 off his back.

Troy’s clearly happy with us which for him is important. He is very experienced and if you look at his scores this season he’s been pretty solid home and away and that was at number 1 which he won’t be riding at next season.

Troys well worth his average and is a welcome addition to our team again.

Although I do agree that his performance at Scunny was disgraceful, I am glad to have him back.

His home form can definitely be improved on but away from home he scored the most out of anyone. Highlights for me were his performance at Scunny (second time around), and heating Harris and Howarth at Glasgow.

Really happy he's back, especially now he doesn't have the pressure of being number 1.

Let's get this season started! UTC!!!
