Craig will make us very strong in my opinion a number 1 rider who’s isn’t riding at number 1, this signing gives us a lot of strength and if Tate does what we know he can they are in for a great season with 4 strong riders.

Hope Tate and Cookie are paired together they rode so well together last time 5-1s incoming !

When something sounds too good to be true, it usually is!

That would be wrong for two reasons:

1] mathematical convention

2] precedent Lewis Kerr went from 8.60 at the end of 2023 to 8.39 at the start of 2024.

But this is all irrelevant if the rule is 'one rider over 8', as 8.00 is not over 8.

Looks like it wasn't wrong after all 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Totally agree with that my only concern is him staying in the team, he jacked in 2024 when the team were doing really well.

Can someone explain to me why his average isn’t 8.0?
8.2 minus the British reduction is 7.995 which of course rounds up to 8.

Is it so they can have him and Jepperson?
I’ve got no problem with him being at Worky and I wouldn’t want him out of a job.
But I do disagree with reducing a riders average so a team can fit them in.

I know it’s only 0.01 and I know that they’ll likely have points spare on their team overall. But just wondering if I’ve missed something.

Averages are calculated to 3 decimal places, and rounded to 2.

Cook's rolling average is 207 points from 101 rides = 207/101 x 4 =  8.198

If he was a foreigner, 8.198 would round to 8.20

As he's British, he gets a further 2.5% reduction.   8.198 x 0.975  =   7.993   which rounds to 7.99

(But even if it was 8.00 he would still fit)

Only goes to 2 decimal points,  so it's 7.99

A very good signing. Workington done a full season without a number 1 last year but are going into this season with two number 1s

A possibility of 3 number 1s as batch on his day can beat anybody, and with less pressure to be the top rider, think this will help all 3 heat leaders
