If Thompson does go it’s possibly the right time to be honest.

He has been a real Trump card for us but could possibly struggle a little in the main body of the team with little chance of dropping back down.

It’s true he had issues at home after his injury but up until that point had been on fire.

Like Rew I’m sure the parting of the ways will be amicable to allow a return in the future.

Personally I don't think Dan would struggle at all in the top 5, but would have more scope to improve his average at Leicester where he always seems to do well.

ive said for a while british riders under 24 should get a 15% reduction on averages, then british riders over 24 get a 5% reduction.

Noticed in today’s Speedway Star that Tru7’s recent two year deal with Sheffield has expired and Guy won’t be renewing it. He’s now focusing solely on the Witches.

I think it’s going to be a long & frustrating winter. The last couple of years the side has been buttoned up by now.

I think the delayed AGM & Emil not returning are probably signs that the sport at least top flight is in all sorts of problems.

Agree and last year they had a flurry of announcements in early November with Tom Brennan being the final one on the 12th November. Not a peep from anyone involved in the top tier. It is not looking good.
Perhaps having some Championship clubs announcing signings is a way to divide a conquer the one league idea and a shot across the bow of the Premiership.

Who knows but one thing is for sure, those on the top table will let the punters know what is going on when they are good and ready and not before. The war of words between various supporters on here can continue unabated until such time something is revealed.

One thing that is certain, whatever the outcome, you will see speedway at Foxhall in 2026. Chris and co would not walk away after all the hard work that has been put into the club and the loyal support from folk across East Anglia.

A parting thought, should we read too much into the signings by the Danish sides with the likes of Doyle and Bewley pretty quick off the mark. Could it be a sign of a reduced number of rides in the UK?

One thing is clear if Prem clubs won't/can't sign anyone until January then the riders will have finalised all their Polish/Swedish/Danish deals 

I wonder if that might mean a few not chosing UK?

I'm sure PREM Clubs have got deals done behind the scenes.

Imo they're just waiting for the inevitable 6th PREM Team to be confirmed before signing announcements are made.

Exactly one of the reasons why no one will move up. A team of riders who other teams don't want. Great plan 🙄🙃 

You'd think some of the Prem promoters would use their brain a bit more if they are desperate for a sixth team.

That's not a definite. His Polish mechanic was quoted as saying that Tai was going to concentrate solely on Poland. However, just a couple of weeks later Woffy then said himself he hasn't ruled out racing in the UK next season, his phone is always on and is willing to talk.

Inevitable means certain to happen. So why not announce it then.

The other problem with that plan is the current 5 premiership teams will have their teams sorted and that only leaves the left overs for the 6th club. But that's absolutely fine with Ipswich,Belle Vue, and Sheffield & Co isn't it.

Once the inevitable sacrifical lamb has been caught then we can get on with some signing announcements.

I wouldn't be surprised if Teams were to go down the Sheffield 2025 route when they announced 6 Riders in 1 video package instead of the usual the drip feeding announcements that we normally get.

Patience is key and the season doesn't start for at least 4 Months.
