SteveArena
Without Doyle and the Russian, Ipswich will be pony this season. Gavan and the Witches fans will have given up by the time Wimbledon starts. The new bloke will be thinking this is a big mistake. Oh well thats speedway!

Do you mean Emil sayfutinov? just because you have unfortunately lost your team don’t allow your bitterness to bring my team down. 1
SteveArena Posted yesterday at 09:44 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 09:44 AM Not being bitter fella. Just stating my opinion. Ipswich will be poor next season no chance of retaining the title. We will see who is right come October.

Cant agree there, the new owner will not think it is a mistake. It will be a competitive team most of which is probably already sorted. I dont know how you can say that when you do not know who is in the team and bear in mind the reduction in points so every team is weaker than last season.

What about Rich Lawson for the Witches?

As an Arena fan always have a huge amount of time for 'awesome Richard Lawson' solid and reliable wherever he rides!

Just can’t see a world where Lawson isn’t riding in the Premiership so it’s surely either Ipswich, or mystery team number 6.

Lawson would be a quality signing in a watered down PREM. Consistently had GSA's ranging from 6.50-7.00 in the British Top Flight whether it's the old Elite League Days or the modern era PREM. Majority of the PREM in 2026 is basically CHAMP Heat Leader standard with a few Aussie GP Riders thrown in and we all know that Lawson and Masters are the two best riders in the CHAMP.

I agree, which makes Kildermand a shrewd signing as there is only six or seven riders with a higher starting average than him in this years championship. Kildemand's CHAMP GSA dropped riding as a No.5.
Aries
Assuming Pickering and Kurtz are in at Sheffield at Belle Vue, neither Brennan or Lawson has a ride in the Premiership. You'd have to think they’ll almost certainly be Ipswich bound unless the sixth club materialises. If they are, you also have to wonder what kind of team the sixth club could realistically put together. There just isn’t enough riders of the calibre needed to have a bigger league as much as everyone would like it. Lawson Rew Musielak Becker Brennan Gusts/3 pointer Edwards If Ipswich went with something like that, who is left for Northampton/a.n.other? Lidsey, Iversen, King, Klindt, Riss, Zagar, Wright and Tungate. Although I suspect one of the 6 GSA Riders will be at Ipswich as Becker is already doing 3 Leagues. I know he definitely done Denmark and Poland, did he miss Sweden?

Not sure if Rew will be back unless the new owners don't mind paying over the odds for him, or he's lowered his demands compared to what he wanted last season, which ended up pricing himself out of a ride at Ipswich.
