I think it might be something to do with the stadium. A very long term lease redevelopment in partnership with Deane Wood or maybe the purchase of the stadium.

its got to be something big & positive to have a meeting a foxhall on a Wednesday.

Reading the press release again I’d say it’s almost certainly stadium related.

“Coleman has reached an agreement that will open considerable opportunities for the Rowe Motor Oil Premiership champions”.

If they can convince the owners or buy the stadium & then work with the local authorities Foxhall has massive untapped potential.

massive space for gps but more importantly a great area for training & running community projects. It could almost be a mini version of what is done in Poland.

Coleman did say we needed to look at what Poland does. However I think it’s a lot of wishful thinking but I’m certain it’s stadium related.

Spedeworth have been trying to buy the stadium for years, have signed a long term lease which will allow more development, new main straight grandstand/building planned, more boxes on bends 3/4 and new 2 storery replacement for Di's Diner are what rumoured.

Redeveloping the track and improving the surrounding spectator facilities would be the dream. Not only would it be a shoot in the arm locally but it would signal to the rest of the sporting world that speedway is on the up a worth investing in, especially on the back of Northampton. Fingers crossed this is the announcement and if so I look forward to seeing the plans for the new set up.

Great viewing. Thanks for sharing.
definitely need a independent body running the sport. Phil morris and Chris Louis ?

Interesting that so many when they go outside the sport say an independent body is needed...

Yet....

When within the Speedway Bubble....

They publicly never said a word...

Hawkins has, quite a few times both on local radio, and when interviewed at the track.

Mentioned before I know, but am I correct in thinking the the current freeholders are still Ipswich Speedway Ltd 1951? If it is what people are speculating how would development issues sit with East Suffolk Council? Just asking.
