Sounds like a good idea on the face of it. Poland/Ekstraliga do very little wrong and a hell of a lot right, so why not learn from them? Fair play to Coleman/Ipswich for trying.

I've wondered for years if there could be some sort of feeder system between British and Polish clubs. Polish clubs could send youngsters, and maybe even the odd top rider here, British clubs could push their best youngsters towards the Polish club. Who knows, we might even get away from riders being attached to multiple clubs/countries one day.

There is a plethora, (good word), of young Polish lads who would be perfect for a squad system over here...

One UK and one Polish kid at six and seven, with several subs on the bench..

Very, very, basic stuff to be honest.

We trained the world in the 80's and 90's to the detriment of UK lads, so having some control would be ideal...

Belle Vue did a tie up with (can't remember but I bet PTA does), several years ago and they had a few young Polish lads over...

Have been negative recently in regards to this season but fair play to Mayfield on tonight's announcement.

It did back up the hype and it has restored my confidence that 2027 will be different to this season.

Big potential to get Brady Kurtz or Dan Bewley out of this deal in 2027 with a strategic contract as hinted.

Yes, time to finally get the poor lad the move he’s been wanting for a few years now!

Coleman comes across as a very impressive figure to me and he has right from the start.

I think he has a very good notion of what needs to be done and what he is up against - lets hope he doesn't find the barriers to dragging this sport up to a proper level of standards and scrutiny are doomed to fail!

Even if they can utilise 10% of Wroclaw knowledge of sponsorship, promotion, improving merchandise + access to the sport it will be more than worth it for Ipswich. Be interested to see what Sparta truly feel that they are getting out of the deal apart from Coleman's ear.

Potentially the 'blooding up' of lots of up and coming riders etc -

You wouldn’t want Brady at Ipswich as he dosent try on that circuit apparently

I'd prefer Dan 100%.

Maybe jumping the gun here but with this partnership, I wouldn't be surprised if Dan Bewley was the Witches No.1 in 2027 and then Belle Vue replace him with Max Fricke.

It the days when JL was married to Magda the Witches often had up and coming Poles like Zibi Suchecki, Bob Miskowiak, Karol Baran etc some did well others struggled.

Plus they got Jarek and whats his name - Pepe Protasiewicz over

Ipswich fans creaming themselves with this tonight, best might end up with is Janowski at number 1

It seems perfectly clear that there is only ever going to be one winner between Poland and GB speedway. Surely it's time to start working with the Polish league and not against it.

Why don't UK clubs team up with a Polish counterpart and run squad systems between them. That way when the Polish club calls on a rider from the UK they can send one of their own across to the UK as a replacement, every one's a winner. The Poles get the rider they want, the rider gets the big money and experience (that Cook and Lambert etc are looking for), the dropped polish rider gets to ride in the UK to add to their experience and the UK teams are able to field a full side.

A number of football clubs have affiliated feeder clubs (or used to anyway).

I wonder if anybody is forward thinking enough to make it happen, or will toys continue to be thrown out of prams until there is no professional speedway league in this country.

It only took somebody 9 years to realise I might know what I'm talking about 🤔😉😁

How could I forget Mariusz, we nicked him for Arena for a season too - he was really a favourite there too!

This. Is. Huge.

It will benefit not only Ipswich but British Speedway as a whole. There is no way Wroclaw would get involved without looking to the future and improving the product here.

And it wouldn’t surprise me to see this as a model going forward for other clubs. Could even encourage a couple of Championship teams (we all know who) to come up to the Premiership if investment is forthcoming from potential tie-ups.

Coleman wants to improve the sport in this country and this is just the start. There’ll be a few people within the sport who are set in their ways and want to continue along the current ‘tried and tested’ route who won’t be looking favourably at this and will be glancing over their shoulders.

Change is coming. And for the better.

Can't be arsed trawling through my comments, but said pretty much the same thing when the GP's and Poland took over Speedway...

Work with them, not against them..

Cut your cloth accordingly, be beholding to no one, and go your own way, and plough your own furrow, at whatever level was affordable and could generate growth and rider development...

Instead UK Speedway did it usual fudge, make do and mend, contrived, Mickey Mouse, nonsense, presumably down to their egos not allowing them to accept their position in the grand scheme of things?...

Statler and Waldorf....B):D

Don’t forget swiderski on his 600cc 👀 😅😂

Bloody hell how could I forget Swidders 😲 That first season we had him, he was like Loram, John Cook and Gollob rolled in to one. Absolutely box office. Tailed off second season unfortunately. Probably as you say, because he was back on a 500cc 😂
