The only thing is that Poland was his 4th team to sign for, so have Poland bent the rules for him? If he now is left out of a team the 3 team rule MIGHT apply. Like I say could be totally wrong but can’t see any other reason. Where are all the “rule book” members when you need them😂 Surely not? I'd expect Poland to flex their muscles & tell a rider to drop a league to ride there (most would). Anyway, my comments about Wright & Klindt were bases on the 8 point rule. But if Klindt's already riding in 4 league, Wright joining him ar Redcar wouldn't change anything? Unless Poland "allowed" because it was a temporary gig?

The problem was that Cook was 7.99 at the start of the season.

Cook started on 7.99 & went up to 8.39, Kemp signed for Workington on 8.07, which was his converted Prem average. Kemp finished last year on 8.08 in the Champ. So the rule must be only 1 rider above 8 at the start of the season?

Sounds like it.Just another rule make up on the back of day packet. Can see it being scrapped next season when everyone will probably have 2 rider over 8 at the end of this season. Then the sh*t will hit the fan. His average is lower than Craig's so there is no rule breaking. Let's say if Kyle Howarth was to get injured, Glasgow would be able to replace him with a rider up to Kyle's average despite having Chris Harris in the team (who is also above 8). The confusion seems to be how we’re Worky allowed to start the season with 2 riders over 8 from their 2025 ave!?Or was one reassessed.. lewy
Personally I think 1 rider over 8ave has made for a better league no really standout teams and if you look at the teams as they stand now only 9 riders over 8 and 9 teams i know bomber is 8.17 but if you take 2.5% off he's below
RedcarBearliever
I may be wrong but I don`t think the "inclusion of only one 8pt rider" has been added to the speedway rules and regulations. I can only see any reference to it in the "2026 British Speedway AGM- Statement", which as Redtruck implies, the one over 8 was only a "requirement for INITIAL team building declarations" and therefore, not a rule. Meaning if any 8pt riders were available, after the first match teams could sign 2 or even 3 if they wanted. 2026 British Speedway AGM - Statement - Speedway Hub UK
