But overall Smith had a better season and obviously had a off night as he showed Max the way round at Ashfield. You could say Max has more chance of improving than Jack though.

IMO Smith has had enough chances should have went with Perry

Smith must be very cheap or something. There are so many other options. I really hope he proves me wrong. He had very close to the full season to make an account of himself and ended up dropping over a point. I’d have much rather have taken a chance on a youngster. Smith has had his opportunities.

The casual fans are happy and that’s all that matters to the promotion.

Smith was a fan favourite with them and that is why he’s probably been retained.

Would much rather have Perry or someone else who may improve over time.

If they finish this with Paul Starke then I really don’t know what they are trying to achieve.

There’s so many places where this team could have been far better, and the Smith signing is certainly one of them.

Smith been about for years and has not improved, imo far better giving a younger rider a go

Personally I think Smith is an excellent signing and further strengthens Berwick’s grip on the treble next season. Lets hope they all stay fit all season so theres no excuses.

And it was all looking so positive, but having Etheridge and now Smith in the same team means its yet another what might have been season for Berwick.
