Berwick 2026

Recommended Posts

From Bandits' media briefing -- regarding Saturday night's meeting -- this morning:

There is a doubt over reserve Jack Smith who is recovering after being involved in a major crash along with former Bandits Rider of the Year Connor Coles at Buxton on Sunday. If he is unable to ride then Berwick will call up a guest replacement.

If jack is unable to ride Dayle would have been an obvious choice of guest but he is obviously busy. Maybe Max Perry? He did very well on his last two outings at Shielfield.

That is a shame for Jack, not easy to come back from something like that. Look how long the incident with Cookie's bike and the photographer affected him.

He would be an excellent guest. I’m not sure we want him getting extra experience round Shielfield before Poole visit though 🤣

Max is doing grass track would be good choice if he doesn't have a prior meeting lined up

Not to nitpick on an excellent win but what was morris doing racing Battye on an almost guaranteed 5-1? The only thing I can think of is they had agreed the finishing order before the race. Even so he should have sat behind Battye and then given him a kick up the arse back in the pits. Risking a crash between teammates completely unnecessarily isn’t on. Kind of soured an absolutely brilliant performance by Nick this evening.

Nick was pointing his fingers at Battye when he passed him coming of 3rd/4th Bend on first lap. There need to be bit communication between Bandits as Nick and Kindleman were having a finger wave last week after getting mighty close Racine each other last week

We can now confirm the extent of Reid’s injuries, following his crash at Berwick on Saturday. It has been confirmed he’s suffered a broken t7 vertebrae, along with a broken nose, bruised chin and some bruised ribs. The vertebrae break was stable enough for Reid to be released from hospital last night. He will now require a spell on the side lines as the injuries heal & will do everything in his power to get back to 100% as soon as possible. Club fb post this morning

Gutted for Reid. Looks a real talent. Hoping for a 100% recovery for him and look forward to seeing him back on the shale soon. That Berwick injury jinx has kicked in again.

Wish Reid a speedy recovery sounds nasty could be out a while.Typical Bandits luck find a decent prospect and injury strikes again.

So we have Dayle Wood on Friday night and Sam Hagon on Saturday night filling some big shoes this weekend on a side note Workington sign Max Perry to replace Jamie Etherington

I think they have got the guest situation spot on for this weekend. Dayle is doing well and good on him. He never lacked in effort last year I’m chuffed it’s paying off for him. He knows the Edinburgh track well. Along with VP and Lasse’s knowledge we might just sneak a win. Sam had some really top notch races for Berwick and should do ok on Saturday. Obviously gutted to not have Reid as he was showing he has something a bit special. Hopefully he heals up quickly and we get to see plenty more of him this year.
