If we were in 1986 having Lusardi dong the draw would have been a PR masterpiece but alas we are in 2026 and she is no longer relevant. Very bad judgement and how on earth would any potential sponsors or broadcasters take that stunt serious. Can you imagine if British Speedway went on Dragons Den. James Buckley (Jay from The Inbetweeners) likes his sports and has recently got interested, and now involved, in British Ice Hockey. His podcast that he does with his wife now sponsors Chelmsford Chieftains who have reported an increase in attendances due to his involvement. What better way to try and promote the sport than getting him involved? Get him to do the draw, promote the sport and invite him to some meetings, with no better publicity than him talking about it on his podcast?! We need to be targeting the younger market FFS.
