Clubs work hard to find new talent but most would rather remain on the continent. Number of teams is the biggest problem for the top flight rather than the whose who in the teams. I think we just have to accept the days when 90% of the big guns rode here are gone, however it would be worth having a push on the SGP2 lads there are some great riders coming through the ranks and they may be tempted to the UK for 2-3 years to learn the different types of tracks over here whilst they try and work their way to the top. We can’t even afford these lads.

cowboy cookie returns?
We’d better get some decent rider development going then. Tracks first though

Seem to recall Phillip Hellstrom Bangs mentioning in an article he would consider the UK as he was struggling to get enough rides. Not sure what he is up to this season , could be an option potentially depending on his average. Slater Lightcap the USA rider but would think the Polish teams will be looking to sign these riders moving forward.

Yet when questions are raised about how one big league could be made to work it is always trotted out that we will just get in 20-30 riders from abroad like its as easy as clicking your fingers....... I don't say that... I say that there's plenty of riders already available in the UK that just aren't given a chance in favour of a ready made foreigner

The riders are dictating the Sport as they have done over here for years, bringing it further down every season.Self Interest rules with Promotions.Until these change the Sport is going nowhere.

I fear it may also be too late for the Aussies and Yanks... more recently a lot of them have started their careers elsewhere in Europe rather than the UK, it's never too late to try and reverse that trend though.
