Another point which I suspect and I have been told it too is that it is mayfield putting the money up for this too aswell as Ipswich so what if they do lose their arse on Northampton Where does that leave Ipswich ?but then again if Northampton fails so too will the premier league

A reincarnation of Allied Promotions perhaps?

Ideally, they'd pick the other 4 PL clubs off one by one, cut the train wreck that are the other promoters adrift and go their own way with the future of Speedway while the other clubs continue to run themselves into the ground following their business as usual model. 🎣

Since it might be a couple of weeks before we know the Ipswich team (and whether Northampton is happening), we might as well start this now. using our best educated guesses.  You're welcome to come back and edit your predictions before the season starts.

I'll go:-

1.  Belle Vue
2.  Sheffield
3.  King's Lynn
4.  Leicester
5.  Ipswich
6.  Northampton

Not sure about Belle Vue at number 1. They couldn't buy a win away from home last season due to the top heavy team building, and with the same leading pair and a lower average to work to I can't see this year being any different. Probably go pretty much unbeaten at home, but will need to rack up some huge home scores if they want many bonus points.

My prediction… Bomber to ride for every team at least once during the season. The sport’s credibility will be upheld however due to careful fixture planning to make sure that he does not roll up to the tapes for a race and look across to see himself representing the opposition. I have total faith in the BSPA for the forthcoming season and trust that clubs have plans in place to cope with inevitable crowd level surges based on the exciting future of the sport pitched by the BSPA at the end of last season. Just hope I’m quick enough to get my season ticket (when they are released) before they sell out. Sarcastic?…..Moi?……

If Northampton is a starter,, not only do they need to find some fans,, the need to make a decent race track to keep those going and enticing others to give it a look,, and looking at the shape of the tarmac track as it is,, that doesn't look at all good for a decent speedway race

Belle Vue had a woeful league campaign last season with a paltry 4 away wins. They need to aspire to powerhouse away teams like Sheffield & Ipswich who won an impressive 5 each.

Completely ignoring the fact that out of the 8 they lost their opponents scored 50+ points on 6 occasions. Compare that with 2 for Sheffield, 3 for Ipswich, and 4 for Leicester. Hence the reason I mentioned the need for huge home wins to pick up many aggregate bonus points. Belle Vue had the best home record in the league last season but finished 4th in the table, 5/6 points behind the other 3. Away form was their downfall and with 3 of those 4 riders returning this year it could be the same again this season.

Out of the 4 Confirmed 1-7's, I think Sheffield win the League at a canter tbh.

I also think Leicester are being overlooked, Douglas and Thompson get better year on year, Morris is on a false GSA due to the white powder imo and Masters has been a No.1 in a much stronger PREM so I don't see a reason as to why he cant get back to those levels tbh.
