I would have agreed, but Adam Ellis could make the GB team, so I am sure he would want to show what he can do...

Particularly head to head against those who maybe are currently ahead of him given his absence from the UK...

And mine - dropping Batch when he is seemingly in good form and at reserve doesn’t seem a great choice to make - but I suppose the promotion are damned if they do and Damned if they don’t!  Can only assume that he might be out for a bit and they want to ring the changes.

Ellis - I would have been happy to see him at Ipswich this year - he will probably be better than Zagar.

Zagar has been rotten of late and Batchelor is injured (and can't stay at reserve forever). Ellis at least gives fans a "home" rider to cheer for (if they're that way inclined) and I know I'm more forgiving of a youngster developing like McDiarmid that a journeyman on his way out. Positive changes - shame Wright for Klindt couldn't come in, too.

Dropping batch is an outrageous decision to be honest. He's posted today saying he has been doing physio and would have been back for this week's fixture.

You've now replaced batch who in his last two meetings had top scored for Northampton with a young Aussie who has never rode around Northampton or many of the Premier League tracks at that.

Baffling decision, especially when you have others in the team scoring close to zero every meeting.

Bed him in now for next season?
