MPT once again showing no enthusiasm, totally unprofessional and needs to be sacked - can't see any other team signing him up. Ablitt struggled to be good enough at reserve and is totally out of his depth in the main team - another one who should never have been invited back. Only Picko and Mountain showing any fight, its time for a mass clear out. The crowd on Friday night will be very sparse no doubt and my prediction of early exit from KO Cup and BSN looks spot on. It can't get much worse as a supporter , who do we bring in to get more balance? Its ok to bring in a rookie reserve, but we can't carry 3 or 4 passengers as well! I feel that's a little harsh on Ablitt, he hardly struggled at reserve as he raised his average so much he then got dropped the following season. So naturally gonna find it tough after racing a handful of NL matches & being thrust into the top 5. I'd blame the team selection, of picking him to be a second string in a struggling team rather than the rider not doing his job (as it's early days yet). The team looked the weakest by far, so I'm not surprised by the 61-29 scoreline, be interesting to see what they do at home in the 2nd leg. Wouldn't be surprised to see team changes on the horizon, almost surprised they didn't make a change as soon as Pickering got a new average.

Good job the stream is somewhere else.
Bitza
Well you have to feel the pain of Scorpion fans, Pickering was good but not fantastic, Mountain Mr Second, the rest what can you say. To only score 29 when 15 are a given, says it all. If I supported Scunthorpe I'd be thinking about 2027. Scorpion fans you have my sympathy, you deserve better. It's been crap for years (bit like the teams Godfrey and co build year on year) 🤣 Not to fear though 2027 will be Palm Toft and Lambert's year Edited April 8 by Fozzie4388

Ain’t gonna happen if you go by Godfrey’s interview on the 360 podcast before the season. He mentioned it was bizarre that clubs are bringing in foreign riders in when some British riders don’t have a contract signed. Don’t think Rob Godfrey would pay for a box to be able to think outside of it to be honest!

Pinny
It was a daft decision to bring Pickering in from the clown at Scunny. Pickering is class and a brilliant rider but to waste such a chunk of team building on him as well as presumably the amount he is being paid? Bonkers decision. The rest of the team is rubbish and Harrison is expected to ride as third heatleader when he should be second string paired with a heatleader to develop more. The same man on 360 many weeks ago referred to two big things that were going to happen involving Speedway Futures. One he said he was 99% certain of and we should hear something in about 2 weeks and the other he was 90% certain of happening. As usual there was not a drop of information and I'm still waiting as probably are many others for the announcement of one big thing never mind two. Well isn’t this what they did last year with the Kennedy brothers……. And then didn’t bring them back again? Surely they could swap MPT for Antti Vuolas straight away to strengthen up? It would be impossible to build a strong looking team with Pickering on an 11+ average, so I naturally assumed they had a plan for when he got a new average? Technically Harrison is a second string & riding with a heat leader (Connor Mountain). Mountain certainly did his job yesterday.

Onthafence
Scunny clearly seen that they lacked an out and out number 1 so the decided to try grab one of the best ones in the league but clearly forgot to find him back up. All well and good having a big number 1 but he can’t win the match for you if the rest can’t even score their average. ablitt clearly in deep waters being in the main body of the team. harrison is a second string at best (at home) hasn’t really done anything away from scunny and it’s now his third season in this league so you’d think by now he should be able to at least score his average on away tracks. mountain steady as always. MPT I’m not even sure what he is doing. Lambo struggling to score at reserve and Cleary still struggling same as last year. Ingram finding the jump up tough but all the experience will be valuable and will progress throughout the season.
